I just read that Tedesco has publicly stated that he was forced into the decision by the deadline imposed by Cleary.
Tedesco said the deadline and also the publicizing of the deadline impacted his decision. I am quite sure if the Tigers did not report this it would have been in the press just as fast. Also who bases a four year decision on such a small thing. Might as well say they ran out of Green Gatorade at concord so I am signing for four years with another club.
I think both Tedesco and Woods are grasping at straws . If you are going to give an interview or comment at all, just bloody well tell the truth, tell everyone why you are really upset (Didnt get whispering Jack at the club, Payton is not the coach, they wont let us run the club, blah blah blah whatever) put everything to bed and dont make statements that will raise more questions that will get you in the press the next day.
At the end of the day they are gone, nobody knows for sure what happened, maybe it was the money, maybe it was playing finals football, maybe it was unbearable at the TIgers and they made the decision way back this was their last contract, maybe they are just ungrateful knobs. Nobody here knows for sure, but whatever it is it is a good time to be a Tigers fan. When was the last time we had so many options, so much promise with a good coach and a little bit of coin.
"It is what it is" may become the war cry of a team that rises from this and shocks everyone (Except me and a couple of others here).
