Hopefully not true.
Could be another case of staying short term and taking the best young talent with him.

Why move on and go back to over paying players ? I would rather match the raiders and keep someone with a clue on how to manage a roster. It will be a disaster if he leaves.

We just keep going around in circles.........we just don't have enough money to compete with most teams in any respect. That's about it.

3 year contract was signed and yet if the rumour is true walking away after 1 year.

I suspect nothing to do with financials but a falling out with someone .....
Will free up another job for the boys ..

I believe you have nailed it. Although I'm sure no one will come out and tell the truth.

What a shame, he is the only one there that is worthwhile!

He's expected to do his job as normally until he leaves...
Sounds like you must have some inside info...? Regardless of doing the job until out...the point is his words do not point to an imminent departure and, unless he is a sociopath, seems very odd from a guy of seemingly good character.

You raise some good points mate and I totally agree with you...I would like him to stay as well. and I would like them to offer him more money (if that's the issue) ..but Im just saying IF hes going then in this day and age there's nothing we can say or do that will prevent it happening...Like Soward, Morris and Merrin we have to move on I guess

okay what did he reruit

Whoa............who said he reruited anyone? There's a law against that isn't there? Must have been painful to reruit someone. And how does one reruit someone anyway?

Although I think he did have a hand in recruitment!

Ah Dino...........another one of your classics!

I'm hoping the rumours are not true, but if they are, I mean, wow, what does that say? We can't even afford to keep our recruitment manager.

Why do people assume it comes down to money? When you have good staff then chances are they will be head-hunted by other clubs.

Melbourne is constantly haemorrhaging staff, every assistant Bellamy has ever had has been touted as the next big first grade coach.

Rumour is he was pushed, not poached.

I've been critical of Mulholland. His recruiting class of '15 was one of the worst I've seen, with barely a single success story among them. The loss of Bird was poor. And his comment during the Merrin negotiation of "highest paid forward in our history" was unnecessary and unprofessional.

That said, he inherited a salary cap nightmare, and is one of the very few (nay, only?) people from outside the insular boy's club appointed to a key, influential role in the organisation. Disappointing to see him go so soon.
