Music in RL2

Hi, a much needed addition in RL2 IMO is music. Something like EA Trax would work wonders to improve the atmosphere and excitment in the game. Some tracks could include:

Hold On Me - Grinspoon
Chemical Heart - Grinspoon
Lost Control - Grinspoon
Woman - Wolfmother
Get Free - The Vines
Eagle Rock - Daddy Cool
Like Wow Wipeout - Hoodoo Gurus
Tubthumping - Chumbawamba
Evie - The Wrights
Better - Screaming Jets
Black Betty - Spiderbait
Khe Sanh - Cold Chisel
Working Class Man - Jimmy Barnes
Thats My Team - Hoodoo Gurus
Am I Ever Gonna See Her Face Again - The Angels
Good Luck - Basement Jaxx
The Bongo Song - Safri Duo
Adagio for Strings - William Orbit
Feel the Beat - Darude
Sandstorm - Darude
Right Here, Right Now - Fatboy Slim
Run To Paradise - The Choirboys
Take A Long Line - The Angels
Wonderwall - Oasis
Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz
Sharp Words - Gyroscope
Process This - Powderfinger
Lines - Pete Murray
Are You Gonna Be My Girl - Jet
The Day You Come - Powderfinger

I know it would be impossible to get all of those songs but all would be in the right mood for RL2. Just a few songs to get the atmosphere going. Smaller local Aussie, NZ or UK bands would do the job. Grinspoon would be great and be willing IMO. As would the Screaming Jets and Hoodoo Gurus.

Opinions?

why bother? Just get all your songs in windows media player going while the game is running and turn the game music down.

I wouldn't mind a few tracks going off when you score points.

Is there some way where you can put on a sound clip when you score a try or 10 metres out? Sound Clip being music or the Panthers Growl (when you are Penrith of course). Is there some way to do that and put it into a patch? I think it would somewhat add a bit more realism and it would be a lot better then that stupid generic music that goes off when you score a try.

Screw you then :p
Bottom line is people like different music and getting a playlist wouldnt help people who dont like that music.

There's no point in wasting time (and in particular, money) to get songs in the game.

No-one has mentioned 'We Will Rock You' by Queen.
It goes so well with League.

You wouldn't even need the actual song, just the 'BOOM BOOM CLAP BOOM BOOM CLAP'.

As for that initial list by raiders_lover_18, I must confess - I don't know half those songs (and a few of the artists!). I'm sure they're all good and suitable for a Rugby League game though!

Sounds good but it has the potential to become a major pain in the ar*e by hearing the same freaking song everytime you scrore.

I will end up playing against a Doggies supporter and I'm already cringing thinking about hearing that "Who let the dogs out?" sh*t everytime he scored. The same thing happening everytime you score can get real old real fast if it's not done really well.

I say leave it open for people to put mp3s in, kinda like on the sims with the radio stations. OBviously it wont work on PS2, but would still work on PC and can be modified for Xbox, if an Xbox version is made.

Thats my team should be included in the game cause its appropriate.

It'll also be good if they had "Roll on"- Living End. :D
