I use to play the back in black lead.
I hated it ...because of the speed of the walk back up the neck...and the riff in the middle.
I could do it but never super cleanly....the band was never tight enough either to pull it off.
We changed to Jail break and it was 10000 times better.

I strongly believe in Less is more in soloing.
1 blue note beats 20 brown notes.

This is old now.
I am singing , playing bass and rhythm guitar.

In hindsight having just listened to it again after so long..it is way too long .
Lots of people liked us playing it though.
FTR ...it was never meant to sound like Nirvana but somehow it just ended up like that.
It was originally a lot quicker.

Nice work there Carch and thanks for sharing. I was just trolling through some of my stuff and found some recordings from my old band- back in my rock days. sh*t listening to it now i kinda miss it. This was my band when i was 18-19. I'm 22 now so its a few years old. Its a world away from i'm doing now.

82 Gibson Explorer with Floyd/Rose set up.
80 Vantage Flying V.
Yamaha 12 string.
Various Cash Converter cheapies.
2 Marshall stacks and 50watt heads which I picked up from a deceased estate and an extremely inexpensive price due to ignorance.

Earlier influences were Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore, Gary Moore. Later on Yngwie Malmsteen & Michael Schenker. Mathias Jabs is also a favourite. For pure speed check out Herman Li from Dragonforce. Very impressive. Pity all their music sounds the same.

Played with to Adelaide bands in my youth. Saracen and Almost Human. Hardly touch it these days. Family and sporting commitments take up much of my time. Been a very long time since I've written any songs.
