Hayne at 5-8 will not happen and Inu will stay in the centres.
KK will move into the halves (6 or 7 doesnt matter TBH) and Mitchell, Burt or even Humble to wear the #14

OK if Hayne's form & in total the EELS form was the it is now when he was playing at 5/8 it wouldn't be that bad of an idea.

Hear me out a little here, Is he playing or reminder you of a great 5/8 ex fullback ........
lets think for a minute ......that's right D Lockyer

So why can't he make it as a 5/8 then ,Ok maybe bad idea of having Burt back at Fullback

How about this then Inu fullback & Burt on the Wing or Inu at Fullback Burt at #14 & B Smith in the centres with Hayne at 5/8 ????

Does INU really deserve the spot?

Burt has played better so far and INU although on the improve, has only really played well in one game.

2010 is a whole different year and in all honesty you don't pay players earning $200,000 plus a year to play at Wenty unless form dictates the fact. Reddy, unfortunately, may well be the odd man out. I may be wrong.

you really need to go to games and watch Hayne closer, he does not play a full 80min game but injects himself into the game when he feels it is right. Playing in the front line he will not be able to doe this.

He is stuck in a team playing it out for the spoon. A fresh approach next year will see him start.

Unless you have a halfback who can control the game fully.

Ala Sterlo and Kenny.

You can't say that Robbo or Mortz actually plays a full 80 min game do you?

Hayne prefers to play fullback, he has played there all his life. While Hayne wil do what ever Anderson asks of him I will tell you now that DA will not move Hayne unless he himself asks for it. Hayne could be a great 5/8, he could be a great centre and he is a great fullback but realistically if I had to chose between Burt in the #1 and KK in the 6 or 7, I am putting my money on KK in the halves. Not that I dont rate burt but to me that is the choice that suits the team best IMO.

Hayne may well in the future move to 5/8 but not for the next few year IMO, maybe in 3-4 years if required.

they are in the defensive line all the time and do a lot more defense than I would want to see hayne doing.

lol at the people picking Humble.

Suity

While there is a small level of jocularity involved they may not be far wrong if he has a solid off season. The Qld Cup is a much higher level than NYC and NSW Cup and with a very solid off season he could be a bit of a surprise.

The Broncos have been playing some of their better Under 20's as often as they can within the Qld Cup to build their experience to higher levels of football.

I can't say I am too impressed with Shackleton. He is the player that may find it hard to break into the side.

Unfortunately Reddy will probably miss out on a backline spot. He is going great and is very reliable but I can't put him ahead of Inu, Tahu, Grothe or Burt.

Nice attempt at justification Colonel but I'm still lolling.

I'm not saying he won't make it, but fmd, none of you lot have ever seen him play!!!!
I'll sit back and accept the good vibes and views about him, but in my mind, he ain't a starter till he proves himself.
He has yet to do that.

Shak will probably be in the side (with Lowire and Joe likley to not be here next year) but if he doesnt improve on his performances with the goosters he wont be in the 17 or might even find himself beind someone liek Hauraki (if he realises he need to start playing footy). We have a good pack but will lack depth next year and unless Allgood, Johnson, Horo or Robenson make the jump up I doubt he will miss out.

IMO Reddy will be in the team and Burt will miss out esp if Inu is kicking consistantly. As much as Burt likes to come in for fg attemps Inu, Hayne and KK can kick them.

Says you. ;-)

I have had the pleasure actually and not just on TV. I'm assuming that he will be one of the players at the lower end of our Top 25. I don't expect to see him start game one in the slightest at this stage. How the season pans out though is anyones guess. Few would have picked Mortimer this time last year either.

Lovely debating skills you have there. They'll take you far.

He has been our most consistent back over the past eighteen months. But like many others I believe he will be the odd man out. Who would you play him ahead of if everyone is in form?

It is unlikely that we will have every player available for each of the 24 games played next year so he will play at some stage due to injury, rep duty and form.
