Im terribly sorry to the Gower fans, but this guy has NEVER cut it at Test level imo. He's decidedly average quite frankly. I'd much rather a Hill-Kimmorley partnership for the rest of the tri-series.

Couldn't agree more. He does not cut it at SOO or international level.

My team:

1. Bowen
2. Rooney
3. Berrigan
4. Tonga
5. King
6. Lockyer
7. Kimmorley
8. Webcke
9. Buderus
10. O'Meley
11. Hindmarsh
12. Fitzgibbon
13. Hill

14. Ryles
15. Mason
16. Civoniceva
17. Wing

I say give Berrigan another go. One poor game doesn't deserve dropping. He's showed us what a great player he is all year. He will bounce back.

Are Luke Bailey and Price available yet?

Kimmorley is a proven performer against the english. He won player of the series last year. He was in better form than Gower going into origin 1 but Gower got the nod due to the panthers going so well. It is such a shame the injury that Noddy got because he was in for a big origin 2.

I'd give a Lockyer and Kimmorley combo a go and leave Mini back there and see how it goes.

Why would you move Lockyer back to fullback? He's played the whole of the 2004 at five-eighth and was impressive in the Test match as well.

And yet all the Aussie commentators including the supposed "best player in the world"
Andrew Johns, all said that they thought the Lockyer/Gower combination was great,
and the only blemish to both their kicking games was BOTH of them missing field goals.

Hmmm........now who's opinion would I be most likely to take notice of........
theirs or some Aussie fans who never liked Gower anyway ???

Hmmmmm........let me think ? :-k

Hmmm. Only problems that need fixing for next NZ game are up front (O'Meley must come in to start, Webcke/Ryles/Civoneciva must lift their games), and in centres (Tate or Cooper for Berrigan) for mine. Minichiello is on notice in this game, Bowen could be the best option against GB.

And of course Fitzgibbon in to pack for Carroll (Hindmarsh and Mason to stay -who cares which of them wears the lock jersey?). Kennedy's bench spot should also be looked at, I'd prefer Ryan given a go, or a fight out between Kennedy, Carroll, Timmins, Hill - it won't make a big difference.

So they are available?

Bailey is Australia's best prop now, with Price 2nd imo. O'Meley 3rd

Apparently, Price's Injury was worse than first thought. Stapped a tendon or ligament clean off or something like that. The MRI scan didn't show this. Was only discovered when they went in for the operation. Knowing this now, Price was never a chance to play in the GF.
