Good research Borat. I accept the Roosters at $1M IS the largest membership in the NRL with Brisbane at $800k. The Manly one isnt a true ongoing sponsorhip it was a special gift given at time of purchasing 2/3rds of the Club and wasnt for A Season - just a sponsorhip donation given at the end of 2003. Anyway all I was saying was if the Knights got $300k for 2005 and $600k for 2006 then they are doing well.
They exceeded it and did well. Get over it goose. They didnt get $1M and wouldnt have even asked for more than $600k.. It was a CHARITABLE DONATION from Coal & Allied.
Well thats a fair come down from

I told you that NO CLUB gets even close to $1M a season
Without trying to antagonise you further the Manly deal was buying a stake in the club and a sponsorship of 1 million. The article in the link explains this.
You know the ridiculous thing about all of this is that for the life of me I cannot understand how you took offense at my original post. It was never intended as an attack on your point of view infact I agreed with just about everything you had written. I said all along the C&A sponsorship is a great deal for club, I just suggested it may have been structured differently.
I have been in Sales & Marketing for 12 years and C&A is a client of mine. I was only giving my perspective based on my experience, which admittedly has nothing to do with Rugby League Sponsorship or administration. However, I can see I am hardly going to convince you so I can agree to disagree.
