Napa and Duty of Care

I have heard so many commentators this morning going on about "accidental head clash" and this being "a contact sport".
Now regardless of weather you think this bloke intentionally leads with his head, which I do on occasions, if you knock a bloke senseless you've hit them in the head. This is illegal, any contact with the head is.
The leading with the head thing is a distraction, twice this year he has knocked people out by hitting them in the head, no matter how it comes about its illegal.
You hit a bloke who's falling with a swinging arm, you've still hit him in the head.

Now regarding McCulloch.
How could he possibly play this weekend?
He was knocked senseless, convulsing on the ground, now if he passes any of the leagues extremely lenient concussion tests is beside the point, he should not be playing.
The All Black Ryan Crotty copped a much less serious knock last week and they didn't even think of playing him.

The point of CTE is not severe concussions, it's believed to be caused by repeated mild concussions and has a cumulative effect over time.
The NRL are not taking thier duty of care seriously by rubbing out repeat head high offenders and forcing clubs to rest concussed players.
They will pay for this in the long run, as will the players.

Now while not wanting to speculate on how Lance Thompson died, his death does sound a lot like the spate of deaths that sparked the CTE crisis in the NFL.

You just have to look at the NFL, where everyone wears lots of padding and helmets. You would think that they are covered with regards to injuries. I read that the NFL have paid out over $700,000.00 for players suffering head injuries. Most of those head injuries are over a long time and get worse with players age

As Fittler stated...he should be leading with the right shoulder not the left....Should have been suspended when he broke Korbin Sim's Jaw...
Napas a thug should be out for season if it was a punch he probley would be ,ahead butt is a lot more dangerous then a punch anyday.

Once the ‘man to man biff ‘ was taken out of the game , the back alley thugs appeared on the scene who would hide behind the so called legal hits , that of course being any part of your body except the fists . My , how the game has progressed as a result of being ‘ cleaned upped ‘ and the players are now protected from those vicious punches . :worried:

the NFL had to ban a so called tackle in their game , defenders were driving their shoulders up under the attackers chin which was knocking the helmets off their head. If you watch Dylan Napa carefully since the shoulder charge was banned , he cant tackle he goes in with the wrong shoulder to hit with , his arms arm out like the hayne plane does and depending on the runners size is how far bent over Napa is. they move in or out his head is zeroing in on their face, bang "goodnight" , The league had to act because if its not fixed he could mame some one or even kill them if he hits the side of their head , eg like the cricketer who died, getting hit in side of the head. Napa will drive in and upwards and have noticed Jarrod Weary heargraves do this when he busted RCG's jaw from Penrith , drove up into his face with his shoulder. and their f**ken coach thinks they are doing nothing wrong.

You are spot on ,i would really like to see narpa and hargraves get a bit of the same see how they like it ,its really dangerous used to be a guy played for Dragons Kevin Ryan would love to see what he would do to them .!! Even the axe Gilmiester from the Broncos wasnt bad either hard legal tackles..

Davoe dragon , my grandson plays out at Penrith and has a few games with NRL side this year and he played against Roosters 2nd round and he said after the week end his sternum was sore and bruised from Hargreaves bringing his elbows up when he ran into him. And he only played about 25 mins, imagine playing 60 mins. And he also said when you ran with , look and see where Napa was on field

I know the aussie rules player who punched his opponent breaking his jaw did the wrong thing and it was very unlucky jaw was broken ,i think he was suspended for 6 weeks ,i reckon anybody who uses there head in a tackle should get the same head clash can crack someones skull .never saw Raper tackle with his head !!
