Saw it last night.
It was good - but I too was told it would be "awesome"

I can agree with that. I only watched it because everyone kept telling me how 'awsome' it was. But in the end it was a good movie... Just not as good as they said.

You gotta admit though - it has a pretty original storyline, expecially in a time when it seems the only things Hollywood want to churn out is sequals and remakes *Points finger at Spielberg and Jackson*

I hired it a while ago, and at the time it was by far the worst movie I'd seen since The Big Hit.

I too had heard it was a must see, and an off-beat movie you had too watch when in a silly mood, but it frustrated the absolute crap out of me.

People have also said (like some have mentioned in the thread) that you should watch it twice. I dunno about that. I didn't like The Castle the first time I saw it but loved it second time around, but I just can't see me liking Napoleon in the same way.

BTW worst movie I've seen since ND is Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy. It is now the clear winner. Was well looking forward to seeing it, then I did. Horrible.

I loved it.

It's a movie that flows from start to finish. Doesn't have "funny at the start, not as funny at the end" like ALOT of movies do. Good from start to finish.

The only sad thing about this movie is that more than likely, characters and small towns like these exist in the States!

This is a heartening thread. I love the movie, but tbh it can only categorised as a 'cult classic' when a significant proportion of lamewads hate it. For a while there I was worried that the proportion was too small.

It was good, not great. The only reason I didn't really like it is cos it was hyped as great.

Oscar off the Drew Carrey show was great though.

I dont think there is a line in Anchorman that isnt quoteable.

Just goes to show that different people have different senses of humour in this big crazy world.
