I'm not sure why we would have back loaded contracts. Gould is clearly not a fan and I would guess the season Jennings left we would have been able to front end quite a few guys. Assuming we retain Brown but not Manu I think we should be able to get maybe Mose and/or a Hastings type half but I would expect Myles would mean Brown and Manu have to go.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to crunch the numbers on the salary cap. We all know that the Rorters have had 3rd party arrangements for years which have given them an unfair advantage, but then again........... how many spoilt little rich kids watch mummy and daddy drink $9 coffees at Bondi, while the kids in the west are playing Bull Rush? The numbers tell me that we need to be a bit frugal spending our money, and both Merrin and Myles aren't an option together. It is one or the other.

I don't think we will go after a half. Scarlett/May and Cleary look promising. Wallace/Soward will be there until atleast end of next season. We can re-assess over the off season

MYLES OFF THE MARK

PANTHERS boss Phil Gould telephoned Gold Coast CEO Graham Annesley first thing Monday morning to hose down the suggestion Penrith were interested in Kangaroos Test forward Nate Myles.

As I said all Manager talk. No way do we have the money needed to sign him

To even mention Anderson in the same breath is a huge disrespect to Myles. I think Anderson deserves a prolonged chance in first grade as well, but not at the expense of Myles. We need both.
