How did the Sharks fair in 2004 Jimbo?

Are you 100% happy with the team as well?

Willow said:
So by your reckoning he has solved the problems of depth in the backs in one season. lol
Can he stop players being injured?

Willow said:
Would you like some quotes from Ando?

It's been fairly widely reported that the Sharks are planning on playing a few games on the Central Coast, in 2006 isn't it?

If you really want the thread to remain a discussion about Nathan Brown, perhaps you should stop littering it with questions about Cronulla...

i will get this back on track.
Nathan Brown is NOT a potential premiership winning coach. All his life he has been surrounded by players and coaches that have not won at a coaching level :

Brian Smith
David Waite
Andrew Farrar

As a player he never won. Losses in 1993 1996 1999. The yrs 1993 and and 1999 the Dragons SHOULD have won, but they had no idea how to win.

Nathan Brown is a loser coach and the quicker the dragons get rid of him the better

"St Goeorge will never win a premiership with Brown as coach"...that comes from a good friend of mine who is a Dragons fan is is sick to death of the stupidity coming out of Kogarah. Brown is too close to the players and needs to disassociate from the "boys club" if he is to gain the respect he'll need to get his team playing to their potential.

Brown cant do that.

"Sydney Roosters can't win a Grand final unless the team that bettered them all year is booted out."... that comes from some bloke I met one day.
Melon, you're a fool, piss off and organise a "power meeting" in the shadow of Politis. You're merely regurgitating what you've heard others say, here and elsewhere.
I don't think you've had an honest opinion in your life.

Listen up Fake...the truth hurts.

The ONLY people that actually thought St George were specials in 2004 were Laurie (Im one time Ass coach) Daily and the bookmakers for some stupid reason...maybe your hard earnt was part of that stupidity.

You have the best team on paper...and taking away the fact they are also made of tissue paper, not only have you not matched the top sides since Brown's appointment...you havent even gone close to a GF.

Who's kidding themselves? Look at the facts idiot.

Saab, you are yet to prove to me all these thigns you say. You're constantly going "He's a bad/loser coach, they should get rid of him, he hasn't won a premiership in the 2 years he's... etc." Whatever you have said has never been backed up.

It took Bennett 5 years to win a premiership, so you're being a hypocrite. You keep saying "Oh, but Brown has the best team on paper" & all that, well Bennett had pretty much the whole of QLD to pick from, so give him a break

Prove you what?
Read what i wrote and see if anything is incorrect? Brown has not achieved anything in his playing career, the coaches he had never achieved anything...he does not have a winners attitude.

IT did take bennett 5 yrs, but the excuse i will use is that the players he had were mostly from the qld comp and it took a while to adapt to the sydney comp ;-)

I just wanted to get this thread back on track

Provew that he doesn't have a winners attitude. The FACT is, you don't know, & I suppose I don't either. I thought we agreed earlier that you would give Brown another year tp prove himself as a coach?

Didn't think so...
Put simply, yours was a smartarse attempt at trolling. You thought overnight was too slow to reply so you just manufactured a quote.

The irony was that it took you two days to reply to my next post.

I see you don't mind trying to dish it out... but when it comes to taking it, well that's an entirely different matter.

I had no idea you so sensitive about answering questions about the Sharks. Other members don't seem to have any trouble talking about their own team, regardless of the subject matter.

Perhaps we shouldn't talk about the Sharks... because that's what Jimbo wants and clearly, it's making him a feel a tad uneasy.

And what would Ricky know, he can't win the comp with $5 million worth of players, the old top ref, the head ref's son, Gould, Gyngell, Gallop et al
.
Do you reckon Lemon will bite and spit some idiotic diatribe of anti Dragons filth, and maybe call me "Fake"?
This guy is such a Politis wannabe.

This thread has taken a turn for the better

LOL It has had it's ups and downs but you have to admit some of the reasons people have given as to why he is a "bad coach" have been amusing. Reasons like.....

The way he dresses

The way he talks

He is too emotional

He goes to the races

He hasn't won a GF already

Someone said that someone was told by someone who has a friend that knows someone who saw him at the TAB 2hrs before a game

And my favourite,

my mate told me....Boom! Boom!

I'd like to be able to say that he is one of the best coaches but I can't. I can, however, say that he is far from the worst coach though. Imo, all the younger players we have coming through and starting their first grade careers are the best things this club have going for them and considering it has been Brown that has brought them through and took some risks ( some have paid off, some haven't ) then I don't see why he shouldn't have the opportunity to keep working with them and at least see out his contract. Since this joint venture was formed no other coach has put as much effort into the up and comers as what Brown has.

No. I was demonstrating that you had no answer. Which you didn't at that stage.

The irony was that it took you two days to reply to my next post.

Because I was away over the weekend and didn't log on...

As I demonstrated, you're the one who started asking me questions about Cronulla. If you can find a post from me previous to that which is off topic, you have a case. Otherwise, you're a hypocrite.

I don't mind answering questions about the Sharks. Just don't accuse me of hijacking threads when I'm not.

Back to Nathan Brown...

Sure... so you don't mind talking about the Sharks after all. Given recent rumours on the Sharks board - that players aren't happy with the coach - are you still 100% happy with Raper as coach?

And just after you said you didnt mind answering questions about the Sharks. Never mind. lol

Question: Are you still 100% happy with Raper as coach?
Jimbo: Yes

Posted my opinion on the subject matter. Which is why we're all here, isn't it?
then how is someone defending brown & taking a shot at your club/coach derailing the thread?
