Nathan Brown: Don't blame him for underachieving Saints

The truth is we don't kno what happened with Farrar or Waite. I am happy that we are gonna keep a coach for a sustained time so he can have more of an impact on our team, istead of keep keep sacking a coach because his teams peformance wasn't what they expected.

& another thing on Farrar, that man had no emotion whatsoever & I think that rubs off on the players. & in hind sight, you will find that this year Farrar in the tipping comp in the Illawarra Mercury only picked Dragons to win about 4 times. 4 times from their former coach! This either shows that he has sour grapes or has no faith in the team whatsoever.

Either way, now that I look at it there's no way I'd want him as coach

bennett has no emotion (on camera)
Brown may have too much emotion and where has that got the dragons?

as for farrar picking the dragons 4 times...big deal. Sterling hardly ever picks the Eels and he is one of their fav sons.

I thnik Brown suffers for not being in a premiership winning side as a player. I reckon it has given people like Stuart, Anderson, Bennet et al an advantage in the crucial big games. I say that noting the season a few years back when both Saints lower grades went down very late in grand finals, the reserves coached by Brown.

Having said that, coaches that make semi finals with only 2 years at the top (in both seasons) are probably not the worst coaches going around. Brian Smith would have loved to have been competing as Saints did in 03/04.

Look hopw long it took Steve Folkes, with a team worth twice as much!

and the dragons were THAT much better? Win loss...loss loss..win...loss..win win..loss loss...
they were more up and down that a ship in 40 knot winds.
Laurie Daley said in the big league preview of 2004 "the dragons are the most consistent side in the NRL"
Laurie...comedy is not your strong point.

Didn't think so...
Kidspeak for: "I want my answer and I want my answer now!"

Jimbo you're a whacked up stalker. See if you can stop playing with yourself long enough to grow up a little. Not everyone has the time to hover over posts like you do.

Only a fool would claim to be 100% happy with their coach or their team for that matter. There's always room for improvement and that's part of what supporting a team is about. I'm willing to give Brown the time. IMO, things have improved.

Are you 100% happy with having Raper as coach?

Another question is how long can Raper & Scum fans continue to blame Anderson for the mess that is Cronulla Football club?

So far, yes. He has identified our weaknesses and is working hard on them in the off-season. He also has a record of success as a coach, something Brown does not.

I'm guessing we will be a top six team again next year (and you can quote me at the end of it!!)

Don't look at me. Our board has more to answer for than Anderson

soft under bellies I say,

My side, your side.

when we can both consistantly string together wins at the right end of the season then we will win.

But I bame St Illawarra's problems on the merger because I want to.

Merry Christmas all.

All I want for christmas is the 2005 premiership

Cheers

Thanks for backing me up. As I said, only fools are 100% happy. How did the Sharks fair in 2004 Jimbo? Are you 100% happy with the team as well?

Well he's come to right place to soil that record.

Ask Ando and Johnny Lang what they think of Raper's chances with the Central Coast Jets.

Don't be like that. I've got feelings too...

We ended up pretty ordinary this year due to lack of depth in the centres, no 5/8 and poor defence (The loss of our captain and best player for an extended period didn't help either).

Raper has fixed problem 1 and 2, and is working on problem 3 as we speak.

That said, we had a few good wins over top 8 sides too. How did you guys go?

Very droll, and typically negative...

Do you have quotes from Anderson and Lang about Raper?

Also known as ignorant bliss. You're doing well.

Mere excuses.

So by your reckoning he has solved the problems of depth in the backs in one season. lol
Can he stop players being injured? I'd like to have a swig of what you're drinking.

Better than the Sharks... much better.
Round 8: Saints v Sharks. Won by Saints 42-12
Round 20: Saints v Sharks. Won by Saints 26-14
As they say in the classics, "owned".

Just stating it as I see it. Shoot the messenger if you like.

No, but I have some quotes from Johnny Lang about the Sharks. Would you like to see them?
I'm sure you do...

"The Sharks have no influence and no money.

They have spent half their history staving off bankruptcy. Some seasons have been a success just to exist."

- John Lang (March 2004)

"St Goeorge will never win a premiership with Brown as coach"...that comes from a good friend of mine who is a Dragons fan is is sick to death of the stupidity coming out of Kogarah. Brown is too close to the players and needs to disassociate from the "boys club" if he is to gain the respect he'll need to get his team playing to their potential.

Brown cant do that.
