Nathan Brown must put his hand up and take responsibility for our poor poor form and leave this club and never to return. He had 3 years in which we had the best roster in the world, and he couldn't even get us to the Grand Final.

Nathan Brown, I believe your time is up.

kthxbi.

Alot of talk about Wayne Bennett to the Rorters, but screw that lets throw a million at him. I think id soil myself if he came to coach Saints. And i agree, Brown has to go if not now, definately at seasons end.

hmmm i dont know if he should go but we should bring in someone knew at least to oversee and help him so to speak. We may have had arguably the best roster over the last 2 years (2 semi finals) but if that roster doesnt turn up in the 2nd biggest game of the year the coach cannot be blamed as he had done his job getting them there, a week of training at that point of the season while important shouldnt make that much of a difference after a full season of toil. This year we have had 29 different players, lots of newbies and some of the players havent been going too good. The only thing i think Brown is doing wrong has to deal with the mentality of the players, some of them arent in the right headspace and it is costing us big time

I want to know why the Illawara players always get first chance at playing first grade?

From what I have seen of Charlie Leano (Stgeorge product), he has much more promise about him than players like Simms, Hunt, Houston...etc etc....

Is it a club policy?

I think Sims is a great player, though i think he is more of a prop than a 2nd rower, in regards to the question you proposed perhaps they are just better players?

I highly doubt it. I have heard it a few times that it is part of the club policy to give Illawara players first crack. Had they been better players, then surely we would have been higher on the table because from what I have seen of Leano, he has a very bright future....

Also, Leano played several games last season when we had the best roster, now that we are struggling and have no standout forward (besides Ryles), why hasn't he got a crack at FG???

If you honestly believe that, then I'd ask you to seriously re-evaluate what team you're watching.

Poor ball control. Poor selection policy resulting in us playing players out of position. Poor player preparation before a game. Poor conditioning. Poor retention. Poor mentoring of players. No player improvement of evolution under Brown. No new and different coaching style that offers more to the team than before.

Brown is the result of this. The same errors are committed game after game. Any good coach COACHES this out of his players. Brown hasn't.

I'm sorry, but you are completely wrong.

From a scientific viewpoint, if he was sacked and the team then succeeded, that would support your position.

But if he's sacked and the team gets hammered by 40 every week, then he's probably not the problem.

I'm in favour of coaching 'holidays' myself. Thats a face-saving way of trying someone new.

He could go on a quick 4 week sabbatical to NZ or something.

Here is some food for thought....

Parramatta this time last year, floundering with maybe one or two wins.
Brian Smith goes - Jason Taylor gets the gig.
Eels go on an eight match winning streak.
