Nathan Cayless tops KIWI's tackle count

Nathan Cayless made 27 tackles in this mornings match, which may not sound much compared to Hindmarsh(when does it ever sound much compared to Hindmarsh?) but was the most by a Kiwi player on the filed. Keep in mind that he also was playing off the bench and had less time to make his mark. If he continues this form into the NRL season we are boosted greatly. This will make Hindmarsh more of an attacker, hopefully repeated his 2001 attacking form.

Although I'd love to see Cayless in the 12 (he carved up this year), we need Wagon at lock.

Because we then have 3 80-minute back-rowers, 1 of which is a defensive work-horse allowing the other two to attack more.

Plus then we can have 1 playmaker and three props on the bench, giving us more go-forward options.

Id like to think so but he has a lot to prove. My bench would be:

16 Stringer

So Cannings would be my first choice and dont rule out Fui. I hear this offseason is shaping up to be his best.

I'd be tempted at least in some games to start with Stringer and have Cannings (assuming he gets #10) on the bench.

I have only begun to watch Stringer this year and off the bench he did well. But he can start apparently as well. Cannings was only getting better and better at the end of this season so big things ahead for him. Is this his last year on contract?

I had thought Cannings was signed for 3 years.

Ironically that means Cannings comes off contract the same year Judas returns to his sugar daddy
