Even hindy would be the first to admit his form this year is probably the worst its ever been. He has been no better, if not worse than Cayless this year!!!

im not saying any EELS players have been good this year they've all been poor, i think our best plyer this year has been tim mannah.
but hindmarsh he's more of a leader then cayless, thats why he should be captain, i think cayless hasnt been the player he was for about 2-3 season's now.. if you think this thread is stupid dont comment it then simple.

I don't understand this assertion that Cayless isn't a good leader because he doesn't lead by example. Look at them after a try is scored against them, or in the warm-up - everyone respects the man.

In fact, I am fairly confident that if you asked the people involved with the club they would happily admit that the two Nathans are the heart and soul of this club.

Keep in mind cayless make 30+ tackles a game.If you can name me 5 other props than can do this.
His leg drive is shot now.But id still sign him for next year if the price was right.LAst year was his best in the last few and he is always there to hit it up when we are tired.If he can get his short passing game going again he can still offer a bit to the team

As much as I love Cayless, even I think if he wasn't captain he would have been dropped, or at least benched long ago.

The captaincy is saving him.

Against the Tigers, in the one hit up, Mateo got the ball free about 3 or 4 times and no one was supporting him. Not one, and he was pissed off about it too.

Been there, done that and yes, they are the heart and soul of the club.

The players want Cayless as captian and its been that way for a very long time.

I read this thread this morning but didn't have time to reply ... was too busy retching.

Cayless has been a great captain and player for us for a decade. He's not a flash player but he does the hard work and he's a great leader. Maybe his best years have passed - he did debut in 1997 so this is 14th season in first grade!!!!! That is so impressive. He missed most of 2003 and 2004 with broken arms but in every season he's played the team has fared better with him leading from the front.

I liked when Jarryd Hayne kicked the ball out on the full :sarcasm:, and when Mortimer kicked the ball out on the full :sarcasm:, oh, and when Poore rubbed his hand into Weyman's face in the first set of six against the dragons, and gave away a penalty that set the pressure for the entire first 15 minutes of the game.:sarcasm:

Yeah classic moments from those guys. Plus, everyone else was blameless in all of the games....

can someone tell me one good thing that cayless has done his whole career for parramatta? he's hopless and if we ever want to win a premiership again we need to get rid of him.. whats your thoughts?

for a guy like suity who's been critical of our captain for sometime, to rubbish this thread goes to show how ridiculous it really is..

i don't doubt that he try's his hardest but our club has put so much money into cayless and we havnt got much in return IMO, Nathan Hindmarsh needs to be captain. and we could sign a better prop with the money we free up from cayless, sounds good to me, this is just my opinion you dont have to agree.

You obviously know plenty about quality props, so please enlighten us. Who you would sign to replace Cayless? Maybe just give us in order of contract price, 3 props who come off contract end of this season? I look forward to your suggestions.
