well, that's a pretty standard amount of hit-ups, i wouldn't recommend him to do more, that'd just be the opposite of what i'm suggesting. it's those metres gained which could be improved - he's averaging about 8 metres per hit-up, which is nothing spectacular.

He still lead all Eels forwards in avg. metres gained per match

only Nathan Cayless with an avg of 102 metres (but he only pl;ayed 9 games compared to Hindy's 21) came close and Feleti Mateo who made 107 metres in the 1 game he played

in the backs Wade McKinnon (171) and Eric Grothe (130) beat Hindmarsh's metres avg

btw, Just having a look at a couple other forwards
Wiki 119 from 15.9 hitups per game
Davico 124 from 14.5 hitups per game
O'Hara 112 from 14.2 hitups per game
Webcke 124 from 15.1 hitups per game
Morley 118 from 14.6 hitups per game

the best is probably the three Bulldogs forwards:

Mason 135m from 15.4 hitups per game
Price 160m from 17.9 hitups per game
O'Meley 169m from 19.5 hitups per game

or Tony Puletua: 115m from 12.1 hitups per game. i think that's the best average.
Paul Rauhihi: 151m from 17 hitups per game.

on fullbacks: they often have the best metres-per-hitup, 'cos they get to do the kick returns. the good ones should average at least 10m per hitup. Matt Bowen and Clinton Schifcofske are the best, 12.8 and 12.5 respectively.

I think in order for Hindmarsh to assert himself in this series Bennett needs stop playing Tonie Carooll out wide as an impact forward and put Hindmarsh out there. Carroll doesn't do much work and has no impact outwide, Hindmarsh could have a great impact.

If anyone thinks Hindmarsh has lost his attacking/running ability have a look at games like Penrith v Parra, State of Origin 2 etc.....

fact is he is the ultimate team man- and will do whatever needs to be done without complaining. He only got the ball twice in Origin 3 after his great running performance in Origin 2- and it wasn't like he wasn't looking for it.
