What a tool Tinkler is if the Knights and especially the junior monies owed doesn't get paid in full.

This year that is not in doubt - audit is done, he tops up the funding, if he doesn't we call upon the Bank Guarantee. Pretty simple.

Future years when the guarantee drops to $10 Million might be a bigger test...

You don't think tinkler delayed the audit so bank guarantee drops from 20 to 10 million.

tinkler trying to save every cent now.

Why do you think he won't let his hunter sports company collapse like his other companies with unpaid wages bills etc.

owning 2 sporting teams is a luxury like his plane, I suggest tinkler pay the tradies and give the knights back to the members.

Don't forget the $160,000 private box at ANZ he couldn't afford anymore. How is he going to stump up the $5mil a year or whatever it is for the knights and the Jets?

Champ... He delayed the audit because the financial year doesn't actually finish until 31 December - you can't audit a year that hasn't finished. It is embarrassing for all parties involved that it wasn't picked up. Tinkler changed the Bank Guarantee so it dropped to $10 Million as at the end of January 2013.

Appears you only use Google when it suits you?

It finishes on 30th June :lol:

If Tinkler told you that February had 31 days, you'd believe him.

Er...no champ. The Knights financial year ends 31 December annually.

A company can choose whatever financial year end date it wants - for an individual it has to be 30 June, but companies can choose an alternate date if they want to. For some entities it makes sense to choose a date like the end of December - the end of June doesn't represent the end of the trading year, it is actually right in the middle of the trading year.

Mate...seriously...rather than trying to be the big man on forum, try learning something. You are just making yourself look like an idiot.

Tbf you can have auditors check your accounts over any period you like. Most companies have end of financial year and 6 monthly but you can bring the auditors in whenever you want and direct them to review any period.

To be fair why would you bother auditing the figures to determine how much extra money Tinky has to tip in until the financial year has actually finished?

Only if the bank guarantee was in doubt and you wanted to force his hand or if you had doubts over his credibility and wanted to make sure everything was legit ASAP.

The bank extended the term of the Bank Guarantee to 31 January (which, given his financial position, makes me think there is cash fully securing the guarantee - I couldn't see a bank modifying a partially secured facility where they are at some risk in this instance). The members club board knows the guarantee is right until the audit is complete - no need for an audit prior to the EOFY in this instance.

The fact of the matter it was the auditors, not the knights, not Tinks who delayed the audit due to the date issue which was the knights fault and not Tinks.

So those who have failed to do their own research instead of acting like clueless clowns to suit their own agenda, give yourselves a massive uppercut.

Im ok with this dragging on. Knights season will get derailed mid season when Tinks finally hasnt got another penny or lender to beg to.

Knights for the spoon.

It would be hard to audit the accounts in December. All those gate receipts, kegs for Christmas barbies not to mention massive fluctuations in Christmas presents. I can see why you'd delay it when so much goes on in a football club during that time.

To be fair, audits are alway done at year end or half year. 31 December makes sense.Auditors will not sign off as at the year or half year unless they have proof of all transactions in that time frame.

They can and do, if asked, audit up to a certain date, then finish off the audit up to the required date after the year / half year has concluded.
