So why is the agreement to have the audit done by mid December? I wouldn't believe anything about guarantee being extended, he's in breach of his obligations by not providing the audit so call it now before the year is over and the guarantee reduces. He's doomed anyway so why wait and give him a way to weasel out of his obligations.

Because the bloke has wiped millons$ of our debt, produced world class facilities, brought in the best coach in the game and made it possible for us to sign top tier playing talent. He deserves to be given a shot at pulling things into line and not have the club ditch his arse at the first hurdle, no matter how big that may seem.

Agree with JW. The man has provided us with so much and asked very little in return (at this stage, a bit of goodwill). His motives aside, we do owe him more than a kick in the arse and a see ya later. I'm delighted the club is sticking with him for this reason, and that it will keep Tew and/or Burraston from circling the club like a pair of hungry sharks, too.

He has already dumped in excess of $10-15 million into the club (just a guesstimate based off a ~$20 million statement from HSG regarding the Knights as well as the Jets). If he can pay the bills, which our members club representatives seem to believe he can, then there is no reason for us to take the club back. Actually, it would be a ridiculously stupid move. HSG do need to realise that the media is out to get their owner, and as much as the Knights and Jets are a great vehicle to build goodwill that he desperately needs - they can work against him just as easily if he doesn't tow the line.

I certainly agree with this, although HSG and Tinkler have been far more transparent and communicative with the supporter base that our previous administrations.

I heard Tinks was planning on coming in to the meeting as a hologram, but there wasn't enough bandwidth on the internet to fit his chins, so he just came in over the phone (reverse charges).

I'm not overly worried these rich fatcats, usually land on their feet. If the coal prices jump up his troubles are suddenly over. If he goes bankrupt meh the Knights are still better off than when he took over. If he recovers the Knights continue on.

It's presumption. But watching the news this morning they were speaking as if he were there. I don't even know why you have made an issue of this? Doesn't really matter if he was or wasn't, Palmer is his voice anyway.
