Would I be wrong in saying that was the worst sharks performance Ive seen since that shallacking by parra some years ago?

Tonights performance made that parra game during origin look reasonable

I think he's playing about the same, when he's on he's on but over the last few weeks he's been getting busted up a fair bit.

It might be affecting him.

also his decision making in goal is suspect sometimes.

My opinion, he is starting to play dumb.

He is a sniffer type player who should be backing up all and sundry. At the moment he does that part well, but he has assumed that he is now 6ft 6 and bullet proof.

Its not his job to take up the pill as much as he does. One day he will get bounced and bounced hard.

He should be grabbing his bigger bludging mates who have a habit of just wandering around with their hands on their hips, and push them into a position were they could contribute to what ever is happening or could be about to happen. It's not rocket science.

I wish his enthusiasm would rub off on some of the other imposters.

How many times do our blokes get caught out when something goes wrong. They stand around like a group "Sh!t emselves" and the next instance we are on the back foot instead of killing off whats gone wrong.

For example, Sowards try from the scrum last week. Couple of weeks back, when Pom spills the ball near their tryline. Stops, swears, everyone says a team "Sh!t" while the opp just scoops up the pill and runs the length of the field to score.

If Nathan doesn't start using the brain more, and the team stops relying on the little bloke you will see a lot better results during the game. I am worried that he is about to cop some real big punishment.

Same finishing line as Mr Angry ...... Hope I am wrong.

Other sides have now had plenty of time to work out and target his deficiencies. Then again, that may well be the definition of second year syndrome.

Extreme natural talent with X Factor will get you a long way early when oppositions don't know what you are likely to do. Then they figure it out and you get eaten up. The challenge foir Grds now is to recognise those weaknesses himself and get to work on them as well as tinkering with the good bits.

He has to work very hard on his ground recovery, positional play, aerial skills and timing in attack. He need to learn patience, even to the point of a millisecond when timing his runs.

He'll come good.

It's about variety in attack - teams now the inside ball to Gardner is on, and we don't have much else apart from the bash and barge (based on last night anyway). I'd like to see Stapo come hunting in-field for the ball more, since both he and Gardner have extreme speed, and defending against two 'sniffers' is a lot more difficult.

I don't know but I reckon with the homerun coming up we should maybe decide to release the brakes and just go for it.

Instead of leaving it for the last ten minutes of the 70minute game we should just go for it from the whistle.

If we have only a small chance of the 8, and we are going to need a lot of points, ... why .... why not.

it would suit Gards, Stapo and Kellys styles too.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I think Frenzy and Quigs have nailed this topic. I watched a little of the Broncos /Storm game (I love seeing both sides whipped But I cant stand to see either side win so this game is always a dilema for me) Anyway I thought to meself at one point "jeez, Gardner would have made a couple runs by now and been Smashed a couple times But Slater has not been sited yet.I think he picks and chooses the moments to do what he does best and leaves to the forwards or bigger backline players to do what they do best.

Gards is well covered by defence this year, and he is still playing like an inexperienced player... Whether it be nerves under high balls or not attacking the football in goal in the hope that it will roll dead...

Do we have a better fullback? No. But I think he has a lot to work on.
