Marion was huge for the Mavs and Dirk was clutch, awesome comeback for them. I was watching the game live but had to tape the end, come home after work cracked open a beer to watch what I thought would be Miami running away with it and was like wtf happened?!

What concerns me most as a Heat fan is how easily the offence can stagnate. Surely by now they have more to fall back on than having LeBron massage the ball for 20 seconds then launch a step back 3. I still think the Heat will take the series but it is going to be tough to pick up a win against a Dallas team playing with confidence at home. Sweet that I have Monday off, can't wait for game 3.

It's a big reason why the Cavs struggled to close out tight playoff games for years as well. The old P&R and retreat to half-court with LBJ as ball-handler, take time off the clock and launch a contested jumper. Why the ball wasn't in Wade's hands more is what confuses me. Mind you, he launched a couple of terrible shots as well.

It's incredibly difficult to win 3 straight games, even at home, so the series will be back in Miami as I see Dallas getting at least one at home. Problem for them is Peja has cooled right off after a strong first 3 rounds, Haywood looks like he's out and Dirk and JET may have injuries. Going to be tough.

Wade having another very good first half. Lebron's also been solid. Mavs struggling on offense atm.

Good run by the Mavs at the end of the half to cut into the Heat lead. Heat up 47-42 at the half.

Miami are back into 2 and a half men mode; Bosh is really struggling on offense.

Mavs on a roll atm. Tied it up at 57-57 with 4 to go in the 3rd. Heat offense again looking dishevelled. Wade's doing well, but he's dominating the ball a bit too much imo. Dirk's one legged fallaway is a thing of beauty. Simply unguardable.

Edit: Heat just knock down back to back 3s to make it 64-59.

Ugh, Barea has had so many open looks to give the Mavs the lead. Just can't hit it from 3.

Lol at Mahinmi picking up 5 fouls in 8 mins.

Interesting to see that the Mavs are doubling Wade early. Has led to back to back Miami buckets.

Wow the Heat escape with a 88-86 win as Dirk misses a shot at the buzzer to send it to OT. The Heat offense down the stretch was so wierd. It was like Wade was playing with the 2009 Miami Heat team. Just him dominating the ball with iso after iso and no set plays. Lebron was just a spectator at times. They won so I guess it worked, but it just looked so unconvincing.

I dunno, it was another bad performance from LeBron. He can't exactly big up LeBron as the GOAT when he isn't even the best player on his team.

Very disappointed in Dallas. They lack the accuracy they need in this series, without accuracy in their execution they have no chance.

Man that was a weird game, just a bunch of mini runs back and forth and both offences looking out of sync on a number of plays but the Heat will be happy with the win and it was a huge win.

Don't know to feel. Liked the way the Mavs ran their offense alot more than the Heat did. Mavs created alot of wide open 3s, but their shooters (I'm looking at you J.J) just couldn't connect.

Neither Lebron or Wade has been able to consistently get to the FT line in this series, which is a big surprise. Thought that the refs were favouring the Mavs alot tonight. Alot of 50/50 calls went their way. Was disappointed with Lebron. He was so passive as the game was getting tight. Not sure if that was what Spoelstra wanted or whether Lebron was just wanted to defer to Wade.

Really good defense by Haslem on that last possession by Dirk, but Dirk still got of that fallaway that he was making all night. Unlucky.

Exactly. Big game player. Just like in Cleveland, LBJ is shrinking from the moment and just like he always has, Wade is embracing it.

So far Wade is Finals MVP for the Heat.
