Perkins is a huge loss for the Celtics.

But This happened game 1 of this series and look what happened game 2.

It'll be a great game 7.

I wonder what the news on Perkins will be, if he misses game 7 then it is obvisouly a big advantage for LA but they still have decent size to cover for him (although his presence will be missed).

Bynum also didnt play alot of minutes and had a massive bandage on his knee towards the end of the game but im sure Phil was just resting him for game 7 where we will need more minutes from him.

Cant wait for Friday.....

This will be the 3rd NBA Finals Game 7 in over two decades. Last two were Pistons vs Spurs in 2005 and Rockets vs Knicks in 1994.

Not sure how that comment inferred I thought the refs were the reason for the loss? Celtics seemed lazy, didn't box out and missed a hell of a lot of open jumpers and lay-ups - which won't happen again btw - but I thought the standard of officiating was incredibly different to the first three games. Anybody who thought tonight - where there was a total of 29 FTA - was similar to the first few games - roughly double that number of FTA per game - is deadset kidding themselves.

All I know is Kobe attempted 7 free throws. Paul Pierce attempted 0. Please tell me the last time PP played as many minutes as today and didn't get to the line once in a game. This is a guy that, amongst perimeter players, was probably in the top 5 free throw attempts (give or take) over the last decade and couldn't get a single whistle today. Unbelievable.

I don't understand what your complaining about. I thought we all wanted the refs to hold their whistles and let them play?

Personal fouls Celtics 21 Lakers 17

FT attempts Celtics 10 Lakers 19

Doesn't seem too skewed to me.

Exactly right, the Lakers only had 19 attempts and Celtics 10, i thought we wanted the refs to let them play more but now when they do we want the fouls called again, you cant have it both ways

Even ignoring for a second the whole "we wanted the refs to swallow the whistles" bit (something I don't recall ever saying but would happily stand corrected).......you Lakers fans are really claiming that twice as many FTA isn't "too skewed"? Ok....

Again, the Lakers deserved to win. They had about 10 o-boards to the Celtics 7 d-boards mid-way through the second quarter from memory, just wanted it way more. Kudos to them, and I'm sure game 7 will be a cracker. But to completely change the way the Finals are being officiated is bogus. Call it tight, call it tight. Call it loose, call it loose. But just call it consistently. For both teams.

Oh, and neither of you Laker homers wants to address the PP comment? I suppose he was hanging out past the 3-point line the entire time he was on the court. Take the blinkers off, please.

Pierce was not as aggressive as he was in past games and i can probably recall 1 time where he should of got a call but then again i can say Kobe should of gotten a couple of more calls to so it doesnt really matter.

They were beaten by a team that wanted it more, that played harder, played stronger and we just got the loose balls and rebounds, the refs had little to do with the result.
