damn hope the spurs dont make it most boring team ever :p

i wouldnt be surprised of an upset in round 1 that being warriors/Mavs warriors have been great latley and have even beaten the mavs on a few occusions

i predicting Rockets/Heat i think mcgrady and Yao are fit and if they are they will win a lot of games though i still think Heat in 7

If the Mavs don't win it this year it will be the biggest farce in sports history. They beat alot of demons in last years finals. They pushed one of their biggest rivals the Spurs to seven games and won. They pushed the Suns and won. They're one year older and alot more wiser from that and imo, should rip any Eastern team to shreds...

Dont be so sure Mc84. The Mavs are not destined for anything. Last yr is last yr.
They led 2-0 and up big in game 3 and CHOKED.
They also had some luck vs the Spurs in the playoffs.
67 wins means nothing in the playoffs.

Oh, and your sig needs to be changed. All star MVP??? What a cop out

Not much I don't disagree with but with the Pistons Bulls series if it does eventuate I think it could easily swing either way.

Hey i figured he wont win the regular season MVP after Dirks season (screw Nash) and it's gonna take a miracle for the Lakers to get to the finals. There are only 3 MVP awards up for grabs in a full season...

Reg season + Finals MVP = Dirk

All star MVP = Kobe

By the way, the system is stiiiillllllllll screwed beyond belief...

Incase you missed this:

Detroit Pistons (1st) 53 wins - 29 losses
Cleveland Cavaliers (2nd) 50 wins - 32 losses
Toronto Raptors (3rd) 47 wins - 35 losses
Miami Heat (4th) 44 wins - 38 losses
Chicago Bulls (5th) 49 wins - 33 losses

What a screwjob system...

It's the first from each of the divisions who get the first three spots in the conference right?? Sucks to be the Bulls who had the better season but find themselves having to play the Pistons on their home court...

I liked the "more wins, the higher you are" playoff system.

I don't think so...None of the teams that are in the East's top three are from the South East Division. Miami (4th) are the highest seeded team, so I don't know what's going on right now. I too believe the highest eight seeds should just go through in their respective ranks. None of this division jibberish.

What the heck is this?

Chicago (5) has a better record than both Toronto (3) and Miami (4), but fall behind them and lose home court advantage...

Houston (5) has a better record than Utah (4) and are seeded behind them, but still maintain home court advantage...

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH THIS JUNK SYSTEM!?

The bulls have Rockets BOTH have homecourt advantage in the 1st round.

The system was changed because of the spurs last yr having the 2nd most wins and demoted to the 4th seed because the mavs had a few more.
The cavs fall into this class this yr and they are the 2nd seed, and then the division champs get the 3rd and 4th seeds.
I can see peoples point of view on this, but they have to reward division champs

Ah ok, good old Chad Ford (ESPN's Insider and my source) misinformed everyone on the Daily Dish...

Why do they HAVE to reward the division champions? They never did back when there were four divisions? Why do it with six? The system sucks!

They did reward division champs back in the good ole days when there were only 4 divisions.

Man, even though I picked them, Dallas must be the most uncertain 67 win team in history. They just look...vulnerable. The key for them will be to knock off Golden State and Houston as quickly as possible. The longer those series' drag on, the harder it will be for them to get back to the finals. Dittor for the Miami Heat...
