I like that interview from James.

Also the Heat have been blessed with some awesome players over the years.. Zo, Hardaway, Wade, Shaq and now with Bosh and LBJ.. Phoar!

I can't wait for NBA 2k11!

Well at least its over. I feel James took the easy option and not seeing him and Wade go at it will be something we will miss as they always had great battles.

Even if they do go on to win, alot of people wont respect it and believe that he sold himself out.

By no fault of his own IMO. But he did only agree to stay in Miami after Bosh signed there, which was a bit of a silly stand to take. A lot of people will see the championships these guys win as being tainted though, especially with the way they all colluded to have their contracts expire together.

Hmm yeah I guess you're right, but at least he's already got one (plus finals MVP) , unlike the other two

I just can't wipe the smile off my face. I hate the Cavaliers with a passion even before they drafted him. I can see them going back to their pre James insignificance again. I cannot see anyone on that team that can do anything or be of any trade value to anyone else.
Cleveland are royally f**ked and they only have themselves to blame.
They could have built a team around LeBron since the day they got him. Instead it has been a revolving door of players every season.
I can't even remember a single big name free agent Cleveland have chased while LeBron has been there.

Thats a great point. Lebron vs Wade battles were some of the most exciting of the season

Yea he won a championship as the best player on his team. And with the Miami roster he had the last couple of years you can't blame him for wanting a bit of help, but Bosh and LeBron is craaaazy.

Haha I know it is... kinda like Slater, Inglis, Smith, Cronk.. :sarcasm:

Strange that the Heat plays under the same salary cap as the Sacramento Kings..

LEE HEADING TO THE WARRIORS

New York Knicks forward David Lee got some good news, once LeBron James announced his intention to join the Miami Heat.

Lee's agent, Mark Bartelstein, told ESPN.com that Lee had agreed to a sign-and-trade worth $80 million dollars over six years with the Golden State Warriors.

Lee
The deal will send Lee to the Warriors for Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike among others.

Knicks GM Donnie Walsh has coveted Randolph for years and feels he'd give them another long, athletic forward to pair with Amare Stoudemire and Danilo Gallinari in the front court.

A number of other teams including the Raptors, Suns, Timberwolves and Nets had made pitches to Lee in the past several days.

Chad Ford covers the NBA for ESPN The Magazine.

If there was any doubt of David Lee being a fantasy stud next season, well we have our answer.

I like the deal for the Knicks.

They get some nice assets for Lee. Randolph who still has some potential, Ronny Turiaf is good energy guy who can grab boards and Kelenna Azubuike is a very nice player who I'd love on the Sixers. This helps the Knicks fill out their lean squad.

WOW...Have you seen this open letter from Dan Gilbert??

Open Letter to Fans from Cavaliers Majority Owner Dan Gilbert

#rightTable{display:none;}
Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

How embarrasing. 2nd overall pick in the draft just two seasons ago and now he's traded straight up for a future 2nd round pick.

I guess we'll evaluate the trade depending on who the Heat bring in with the extra cap space.

Lebron and Wade alone are better than the Pierce, Allen, Garnett trio of 08. Were talking about the 2 best basketball players in the world on one team here...

Throw in some defensive minded players at PG and centre and they'll be set...
