Surely if they don't sign a big centre they're going to play "small" ie Bosh at the 5 like Stoudemire did on the Suns? LeBron, Wade, Miller, Chalmers / Other Shooter + Bosh in the middle....should be fun. Imagine running a 4/5 pick and roll with James & Bosh!! Unstoppable.

Korver signs with Bulls for 3 years $15m:

Think that's slightly high for a guy that's a career reserve but they desperately need shooting, plus he's used to playing with Boozer. One more shooter though and the Bulls will be very well balanced.

Apparently the Heat are talking to Kwame Brown to solve their centre deficiency lol..

I love korver and a good pick up for the bulls. Brown would be an ok c for the heat and if they bring back haslem and sign say a brad miller all for vet mins they are a little more balanced. Also the clippers have signed foye and gomes so they have added some depth. The wolves once
refused to trade him(foye) for AI before AI went loopy! Crazy. http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/07/09/randy-foye-ryan-gomes-clippers/

I like it from Fish. Putting pressure on the Lakers.

I don't see him going there either.

From what has been announced thus far as I can understand it.

Okay so LeBron and Bosh signed the same deal. 6 years, $110 million.
Wade signed a 6 year/$107 million deal.
Also, Haslem and Miller deals to be done early next week.

Deal terms - Chad Ford twitter
Haslem, Miller deals - Ira Winderman twitter

So if that is the case...they all took cuts and looking to add 3-4 more players with the money saved from those cuts...including re-signing Haslem and bringing in Mike Miller.

On top of that their 3 draft picks....they would need another 4-6 players to round out their roster.

Bulls offer Redick 3 year $20m contract.

Great move. Best shooter left that is committed to improving. Bulls will be very good next year.

We can't really call these guys selfish taking the max now really!

When you see Joe Johnson signing a deal for 127m...then see that Bosh and James signed for 110m...17m less than max...and Wade signing for $20m less than max...to ensure they get some decent veteran pieces around them...is a smart business decision on their part.

Now they are going to get Mike Miller. They are going to re-sign Haslem...they are looking at Derek Fisher and Zydrunas Ilguaskas as well.

Imagine if their roster at the start of the year is:

C - Ilguaskas
PF - Bosh
SF - James
SG - Wade
PG - Fisher

RES:
Mario Chalmbers
Mike Miller
Udonis Haslem
Joel Anthony
Da'Sean Butler
Dexter Pittman

Not bad at all. Its worth it to save the $17m for each of Bosh and James and $20m for Wade.

That would be awesome.

It could be a blessing in disguise because now they can have a more balanced team.

C - Noah
PF - Boozer
SF -??? To be filled
SG - Redick
PG - Rose

Bench -
Jyle Korver
Taj Gibson
Brad Miller
Lou Deng
James Johnson
AJ Ogilvy ;-)

All the Bulls need now is maybe do a trade for another Small Forward who starts alonside these guys.

At the core of it, they have two great post guys in Noah and Boozer. A great Point Guard in Rose, and two great shooters in Reddick and Korver.

While there are big raps on Gibson...I would personally trade Deng and bring in a different SF.

Thats pretty cool tbh.

Gee does that mean that Joe Johnson got the biggest contract out of anyone in free agency? JJ's agent ftw.

Actually when I think about it.

They didn't really take less money...

When you factor most states have State Income Taxes....Florida doesn't.

So if you factor that in...they would be on the same if not MORE money than they would be elsewhere?

But also gives them more to bring in other Vet's at the Min..so its great for Miami.

Exactly right, Floridas tax laws are different and they save alot of money by playing there, not really losing much.

Regardless, all 3 are still taking less then what they could have asked for. Sets the team up nicely.

Kobe will flip out if Fisher joins the Heat.
