Doc Rivers: I hope now you guys can stop talking about Lebron not being good in big games…He was pretty good tonight…We can put that to bed.

Doc Rivers: I've never seen anyone under the scrutiny that LeBron James is under. No one.

He's so right. Lebron is marked under a completely different set of rules from anyone else. Games that any other player is praised for, he gets attacked for. When he's the best player on a losing team he gets attacked. When he puts up numbers that haven't been seen in decades, people say "he should do that every game".

And he gets all that crap for committing no crime. He's never been in a sex scandal. Never been in court. Never been tarnished with any sort of legitimate dirty accusations. He's never raped anyone, he's never shot anyone, and yet he's one of the most hated sportsmen in the world. A player with a flawless personal life and track record is hated for no reason other than the media has decided to pick on him and idiots who can't think for themselves lap it up.

The pure vitriol and loathing that started in 2010 and has kept on going to a degree till now has to stop. Regardless of whether he wins 10 rings or no rings from here. It's just gone way too far for way too long.

Well that's a damn shame

Good run for the Celtics anyway didn't expect them to make conference finals

I am now an OKC fan for the next week or 2

The MVP took over in the fourth this time. He led the team from being down 3-2 to winning these two games with two clutch performances.

It never happened while Lebron and Kobe were the top 2, but we finally have the two best players in the league going up against each other in these finals. Could be the first of many times we see that.

Lebron has the highest average points scored in games 7 in the history of the NBA (34.3).

But he isn't clutch.

Charles Barkley, John Stockton and Karl Malone have 0 rings between the lot of them. Adam Morrison has a ring. People need to STFU with that stupid point.

The bottom line is, Kevin Durant is already making the maximum, Russell Westbrook's maximum extension kicks in next season, and when James Harden and Serge Ibaka both reach free agency a year from now in 2013, the Thunder will not be able to retain both of them unless they intend to venture well into luxury tax territory. And because Durant and Westbrook won't be going anywhere any time soon, large contracts for Harden and Ibaka would likely mean paying the tax for the duration of those contracts -- which means the extra harsh "repeat offender" tax.

This article sums up why the Thunder window of domination is not as long as some think.

We're talking $4 tax for every $1. That's something even the Lakers have said they won't do. For a small town team with a ceiling on how much money they can make, it would be tough.

They'd eventually be paying into the 9 figures every season.

Clay Bennett is rich but not Bill Gates rich.
