Might as well get this bad boy started with the season upon us.

First game shown in Australia (minus those with League Pass) will be Heat @ Hawks on ESPN, Oct 31 at 10am EST.

Full TV schedule can be found here - Link

Am pretty pumped for the season even though the Lakers are gonna bring the lols. I mean the defense was bad WITH Dwight on the team, it's going to be pretty special without him. Am glad to have Sasha back though. Really missed having that guy in my life.

Am looking forward to Heat @ Nets on Nov 2, which is being shown on ESPN. Am expecting big things from Lopez this season.

In trade news;

The Washington Wizards, trying to strengthen their hand for a playoff push in the Eastern Conference, have acquired center Marcin Gortat from the Phoenix Suns in a five-player deal reached Friday.

The trade sends Gortat and guards Shannon Brown, Malcolm Lee and Kendall Marshall to the Wizards for the expiring contract of veteran big man Emeka Okafor and a protected 2014 first-round pick (to No. 12).

Link

Makes sense for both teams. Wizards are trying to make the playoffs this season while the Suns are trying to match Philly's tank, especially given that it's not clear on when Okafor will return from injury.

I like Malcolm Lee and Gortat will be a decent upgrade for the Wiz, decent trade for them.

Disgusted by the Suns, I hope they miss a top 5 pick next draft.

Wow. You always knew they would trade Gortat at some point, but I thought it wouldn't be until after they see how Len's injury prone body handles a full season, and even then you would have thought they'd actually get something back.

The fact that Gortat's contract expires after the season didn't help his trade value. Plus the Suns probably aren't interested in getting anyone productive back.

League Pass has a free trial up for Oct 29 - Nov 5. Just make sure you cancel before it runs out or they will sign you up and bill you for the whole season.

Well worth having imo though.

25 a month isn't bad. Wouldn't buy the year subscription though.

You can opt out at any month. If you do opt out, make sure it's a few days before the next months bill as you won't be refunded the difference for the rest of the month. Also, i think it's a days notice so you'll be able to use it for a day after you've elected to opt out.

If you're interested in being 'indian' during the sign up, you can get a handy discount ;)

Lol sounds promising. Am so tempted to get League Pass, but I'm unsure on how much data it will eat up. How much data does it take, on average, to stream a game?

Depends what quality setting you choose. The best quality available would take up about 2GB for an entire game Id say.

OKC is the team to follow in NZ at the moment.

Now that they picked up Steven Adams...

There's been a massive amount of media interest in all of OKC's pre-season games to see if he can make an impact.

From all reports he's had a really good pre-season and will probably be the back up centre to Perkins.

Which is huge considering the initial thoughts of all the experts was that he was gonna be in D-League all season and may look for minutes next season... Now there's people in the media from OKC talking about him being the starting centre by the end of the season.
