It was a very ordinary game to watch this morning, not just because Dwight was so, so ineffective.
I was hopeful that the off-season trades would improve the Magic, but there is obviously a lot of "clicking" to do before they have any fluidity in attack. Initially I wasn't a huge fan of Carter, but I enjoyed the addition of Ryan Anderson. I just wish the guy would be more selective with his three's.
Carter had a good game today, but when Nelson, Howard and Lewis are all diabolical offensively in the first half (and only Lewis woke up from this slumber), you're not going to win ball games. I know the Magic think 3-shooting is their strength, but when you manage to bring the game back to within 6 points, there really isn't a huge advantage in coming down the court and jacking up back to back bricks. Because suddenly Rondo makes it a 10-point game again and you're stuck there going "wow, Jameer...have you forgotten how to a) shoot a three and b) pass the f*cking ball?!".
Eh, I dunno. Magic took a few steps back today I though. Very scrappy. No enthusiasm. No hustle.
