For the life of me, I don't understand why the Pacers don't run at least 80-85% of their offense through Granger. The guy is a mismatch for most of his opponents, particularly if they are playing him at the 4. Indy are trying to use him the way Orlando use Rashard Lewis, only it doesn't work at all because they don't have someone like Howard in the middle drawing defenders in. I nearly threw up watching the amount of times Granger burst down the wings only to have Brandon Rush throw up some brick.
Good effort by the Lakers to come back in that game, down 11 at the start of the fourth but come on, where were all the "Kobe does it in the clutch" comments after he bombed a couple weeks ago against the Cavs, shooting 4-15 in the second half (1-6 in the fourth after checking in with the Lakers down 3) en route to a loss? Does it only count when the Lakers win and / or Kobe is the reason they won?
As a side comment, Rondo having a double-double at the half shows why they're desperately looking for an upgrade at the point; having said that, they still won so why mess with the line-up?
Boy he's hit plenty of big shots this season. Kobe for President.
Was that not similar to the trend through the Finals though? Gasol averaged about 12 shots per game to Kobe's 23. They still won so I'm sure there's nothing to worry about.I like Kobe passing it on the last play, although its a shame Artest missed as he had a WIDE open look. Hopefully Kobe doesn't give up on the idea just because it didn't work this time.
Kobe had a good game although I'm a little concerned at the disparity between his shot attempts (28) and Pau's (7). Should never be that big a difference.
