Not only was I there MC, but Lady Coco and I were sitting directly in front of Nathan Jawai's mother and three aunts. Let it be known that Jawai DESTROYED Sydney inside. He's a beast! Seriously, enjoy the kid while you can, because there's no way he's staying in the NBL for too long. He's a gun!

What I found funny was at quarter time when that dude shot the ball blindfolded, and got nothing but net. First shot too. And then Cairns came out and missed like seven in a row. Good times, good times!

Anyways, this is Lady Coco (who decided she would cheer for Cairns just to pee me off) and I's rendezvous with Nathan Jawai's family. When he gets riched up in the NBA, I'll appreciate this moment all the more...

Three other notes: Cairns WILL make the top four, Sydney need at least another six cheerleaders to make a sweet dozen, and Sydney WILL make the NBL Finals. Fingers crossed on that second one though. The way Brisbane/Melbourne/Cairns are cruising, they've got a bit of work to do...

Also does any other lifelong Kings fan remember when they used to have the yellow castle that the live band would sit in front and the cheer squad would slide out of the castle on a mini-slide and when we weren't so maligned that they didn't need the hideous black curtain to make it look like there were more in attendance then there really is? Haha, now THEY were good times!

Yeah Jawai was a gun that night. He did miss a few simple ones though. A mate i was with kept shouting out "You gotta dunk that sh*t!!". He seemed to get fatigued easily though. A few off-seasons should fix him up.

We where also wondering who that other mascot was. Saw him/her on the street after the game so they obviously dressed up for the jungle theme...

How good is baby Shaq? given that he is 21 this could be his only season in the NBL if he catches the eye of some NBA scouts.

Tigers are looking good, this season already looks to be a 4 horse race between the Bullets, Kings, Tigers and Taipans
