I hope this dynasty thread, with a LOT of help from a Yank friend, inspires some of you to try out the NCAA PS3 game next season.

You will be following rookie Head Coach Dan Ateenthman who has been called up to replace Coach Dan Enos who was fired before a ball was thrown in anger by the powers to be. Coach Ateenthman has no coaching experience though has been an armchair critic from afar for the past twenty years.

Thursday, Sep 2, 2010 -Hampton (0-0) vs Central Michigan (0-0)

COACH ATEENTHMAN VICTORIOUS ON DEBUT!
Central Michigan show no mercy in routing Hampton 58-6

10Hampton.jpg

Cedric Fraser (left) was injured on the first posession of the night after this reception. Cody Wilson (middle)
provided a safe target for CMU. Kito Poblah (right) hurdles a defender on his way to a 28 yard touchdown on his only
reception of the night.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - New Head Coach Ateenthman admitted to being more than a little nervous before the game though was relieved when the final siren sounded to secure his first win as Head Coach of CMU.

"I didn't sleep last night so I bummed around online keeping up to date with the happenings of rugby league at leagueunlimited.com for the night. If my coaching was as bad as my posting there, we would have been in for a world of trouble against Hampton.

"I was happy with the boys. We didn't take our foot off their throat when we had them down for the count. We played tough. We were unrelenting and this is the type of football we will be be bringing each week win, lose or draw.

"It's no longer good enough to 'just get by' here at CMU. We are wanting to be taken serious in the MAC and this is the first of many steps to being a MAC powerhouse."

Minus their All-Time passing leader Dan LeFevour who is now suiting up for the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL, sophomore QB Ryan Radcliff was solid on debut throwing a couple of touchdown passes. Radcliff showed poise in the pocket and looks to be a QB Coach Ateenthman can build his team around.

CMU were content to hand the ball to multi-purpose RB Paris Cotton who was awarded player of the game for his three touchdown effort to go with 101 yards on 15 carries. Cotton looks to be in for a big season and may challenge for some of the season rushing records at CMU if tonight was anything to go by.
Cotton could have a coming of age party this season and Coach Ateenthman said he will give him every opportunity to show his unlimited potential this season.

CMU may have found a diamond in the rough in Taylor Bradley who has 96 SPD. Bradley scored a 64 yard touchdown of a WR reverse play and looked dangerous operating of the slot. Coach Ateenthman is said to be excited by what Bradley can offer his offense who most critics have labelled as "offensive duds" in the MAC.

Team Captain MLB Nick Bellore (91 OVR) was superb once again, while outside linebacker Matt Berning (86 VOR) was equal to his captain and both look to be key figures on the defensive side of the ball. The Defensive unit is vastly underrated and Coach Ateenthman said, "Look, if you turn up to play our defense looking to have your way with us, you will be in for a rude surprised.

"My guys are hungry. They want to silence some critics. You won't find many better line-backers in Bellore and Berning. They will keep our opponents honest. I think they will surprise a few people in 2010."

Central Michigan travel to MAC rivals Temple next week in what should provide a good gauge as to where CMU are at in 2010 who boast multi-threat QB Chester Stewart in their offense.

PASSING
CMU: Ryan Radcliff 7-11-135-2-0

RUSHING
CMU: Paris Cotton 15-101-3, Zurlon Tipton 12-60-2, Taylor Bradley 2-68-1

RECEIVING
CMU: Jerry Harris 4-63-0, Taylor Bradley 2-41-1, Cody Wilson 2-31

DEFENSIVE LEADERS
Tackles: Nick Bellore 8
TFL: Joe Kinville 2
Sacks: Joe Kinville 2
Interceptions: Vince Agnew 1, Bobby Seay 1
Forced Fumble: Joe Kinville 1, Bobby Seay 1

My love affair with NBA 2K11 is going to detract a little from this dynasty. Love NBA 2k11. I am going to get in to online gaming with Black Ops too I think.
