Bought it from the laptop factory and when I rang them they referred me to this on their website
WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: Cracked screens, damaged power supplies, liquid and drink spills, lost data, lost passwords or corrupted Windows partitions. Warranty does not cover software, nor does it cover physical damage.
The problem was a faulty cord ,the thing from the power point to the computer so I rang H.P compaq yesterday they sent me a new cord by Courier which arrived just now in less than a day at no charge to me at all. Thumbs up big time to H,P compaq thumbs down to laptop factory for indifference and nil customer service
