If its your first year, I would watch alot of Rugby S12s or what ever you can.

By your avatar your a rugby league supporter, and it takes time to get the hang of Rugby.

I was a junior League player and changed over to Union, and by the time the year was over, I just got the hang of the game.

To play fly half you need to read the game pretty well

If its your first year then i would say you should play centre over fly half so that you have less responsibility in the team while you learn the ins and outs of the game. Then maybe switch to fly half in your second year when you have more understanding of the role.

Mate i play Rugby Union for Newport (the largest Jounir Rugby Union club in the southern hemisphere)

I started playing union in 2003 lol i played A's first year on the wing.
In my first season i went absulty crazy watching any rugby from international to my brothers under 14s and 10s side (in 2003)

I currently play Inside Centre and Flyhalf (and im currently near reps... :D ) much like you.

Mate in Union flyhalf is more like halfback in league.

Watch- In defense watch the flanker and opposite 5/8 (the flanker will do everything he can to nail you from the scrum and line out.)

Wrap- always wrap around the players you pass to to give them support at the breakdown.

Catch on the run. In league you have a bit more time to do wat u want, where as in union you have to be running onto it at all times.

Kicking- Big 1 imo, i prefer the torpedo spiral put there is the chance of screwing off the side and then its shit... another option is the Steve larkham type kick um cant remember wat its called something like drop punt i dno anyway keep nice and back and have your kicking foot infront so you can step onto it.

Thats all i can think of for now if you need anything else just ask me.

Ok? Mate, that's awesome. Good to hear that the switch is going well.
