It was government land and somehow the council gave it to them many years ago. Rort.

There'd be a lot of families with younger kids who would avoid going 6:15 on a Sunday let alone adults gearing themselves for the beginning of a working week. It's absolutely a shit time slot

Saving grace for this game was playing the Sharks. How many other local derbies have been dropped into this time slot? Should have been a bigger occasion
I agree as a Sharks supporter our derby game was given a horrible time slot.
It should have been 4pm Sunday afternoon, but what did they put on there Newcastle vs Canberra.

Simple cost effective solution - drop the playing surface 5 metres lower and move it 10 meters south. Add additional seating below the current grandstand to mirror the sideline. Build two end grandstands similar to the Bob Fulton stand. Push the hill back 10 metres and make it 5 metres higher. If can access more money convert the hill to seating. Ensure the first row of seats around the ground are at least 1 metre above the playing field.

They are busy buying assets to create long term stability. Even bought a bank! (Well ex Westpac bank in Main Street of Cronulla.

The joint venture is a negative. Both sides cannot agree most of the time.

When Govt. becomes involved in funding matters, they consult with the NRL first. As we all know, the NRL wants the Dragons to entirely relocate to Wollongong. And so, until it happens, it is unlikely that the NRL will give major projects put by this club any priority.

Our best way forward is to resolve the JV and pay WIN Corp out. Then find a suitable partner.
