NEVER EVER thought I'd say this.

Johns not enough match fitness, selectors obviously have something against Orford, bring back Finch before you even consider Kimmorley again NSW selectors.

Not saying he is my first choice but he is ahead of Kimmorley by a mile.

John - injury/fitness concerns
Orford - must be a reason why they don't pick him
Sherwin - forgot him from my initial list
Finch - 4th choice but ahead of BK for sure

Kimmorley mightve had a bad game, but club form he's miles ahead of the other halfbacks.

Gower- out of form, hopeless, he wouldve thrown an intercept pass easy
Sherwin- kicking game wouldve been better than Noddy's, hasnt played the best atm.
Johns- who?? hasnt played much and is out of form
Finch- no thanks
Orford- hasnt played the best atm, selectors wont pick him anyway.

Kimmorley is still the best half back in the country atm.

Orford is not a big game player at all and to throw him into a must win game for his debut would be scary.

Johns would be a shot as he had been there before but his club form has been meh.Maybe you start with Kimmorley and bring Johns off the bench in a Wing type role? Who knows. Kimmorley had a shocker in origin but Johns has nothing on Kimmorley on NRL form.

A pack not scared of Carl Webb and who knows what the Blues could do...

PLEASSEEEEEEEEEEE pick Finch! QLD 2-0 if that happens.
NSW have big dramas at the 7 position.

Noddy...doesnt play at origin level
Johns...not match fit
Orford...out of form, selectors dont like him
Gower...playing like Craig Field
Finch...hahahahaha
Sherwin...good kicking game, but 1000s to be picked.

In game 2 last year Finch played 7, and while he wasn't anywhere near as good as Barrett and Fittler in game 3, he was still a sh*t load better than kimmorley was last night!

I agree with TD, I never thought he'd say this!

However I think Gower will get the nod before Finch.

Chook.

Not a big game player?

How do you know if he never gets a go. He did lead the Storm to a win over the Broncos in the finals a couple of years ago. He's also had other final wins..

More than Noddy has had at the sharks :D

Just give the guy a go... if Johns plays game 2 and nsw lose, they better put Orford in the dead rubber (game 3) to atleast see how he goes at that level.

Did you blokes actually consider why Kimmorley played so shallow and flat? The Front row was woeful, no impact, no room for the halves. Having said that when Barret took control, at least he tried some switching plays that kept QLD guessing with Mini and King running off him up the guts and creating space.

Kimmorley has only ever shined with a forward pack that goes forward. Having said that most halves rely on that room for them to shine.

The problem I have is with the selection of Ryles and Bailey. No impact. Zero. Nothing.

One of the Roosters elements in the QLD camp told a mutual mate last night after the game, when the NSW side was announced, the QLD team were relieved that Anthony Tupou was not in the side. They rate and fear the damage this kid could do. And after Ryles woeful and last ever representative game, Id like to see Toops get a run in Origin 2.

Thats a ridiculous statement Melon and you know it. Kimorley has been playing shallow and flat his whole career. Chris Anderson set about changing every club he coached to accodate Kimmorley's style. Kimorley has himself to blame, he can't handle the pressure.

Whatever you think about Ryles it has nothing to do with Kimorley playing shallow and flat. Who would have thought you needed to stand a bit deeper in origin.

Dont get me wrong Borat, Kimmorley was pathetic, but a lot of other halves may have struggled also with our go forward.

I think even Willie Peters would have

a) Done a better job
b) Thought to himself "Geez theres not much room to move, I might stand a bit deeper"

But no, Kimorley persists with his usual style and funnily enough, has no time for any kicks. That is just plain dumb football.
