Just read in Daryl Brohmans column in The Western Weekender and he mentions Wayne Collins is following Matt Elliott to Penrith in the assistant coaches role.

Not surpsing quite often support staff follow head coaches from club to club. It was certainly the case with alot of John Langs staff moving from Cronulla to Penrith

yeah that was written in a Canberra newspaper about a month ago.

Wayne Collins, Matt Elliot and Carl Jennings (Strength and Conditioning) all coming to Penrith.

Hope this doesn't mean we lose Peter Mulhullond I really like him.

I understand there is no coaching position available for Peter Mulholland although he may continue with his other duties associated with Panthers of the Prowl and recruitment?

I didn't think that Peter actually had an offical coaching role in penrith. Although obviously he is involved in the coaching. I though his offical role was with Panthers on the Prowl?

From what I understand that his roles vary and he has a lot to do with recruitment, panthers on the prowl and assisting John Lang.

A question was it Peter Mullholland who had a big hand in creating Panthers on the Prowl?

And another question, isn't Peter one of the members of the Penrith coaching staff who was retained and included in John Langs coaching staff after the big Royce shuffle?

On another subject it's great to see Shannon Donato still taking a very much active role in the Panther on the Prowl program. For somebody who followed John Lang from the shires his efforts towards this programme for the local community are highly commendable. Speaking with him on his retirement I knew that was what he was doing but seeing him again out there on the sidelines and in amongst all the Penrith players is just a wonderful sight.

I don't think anyone really knows the answer to that one but I can only speculate like everyone else.

My speculation forms from media announcements and Langy's contract was up so instead of renewing it our CEO made a quick decision to try for Matthew Elliotts services instead. Maybe our CEO was looking at the long term rather than the short term given Langy's age and wanting to secure a coach who has succeeded in the past in hope by bringing him to Penrith and knowing the large junior base available with a huge amount of talent on hand and the continued management in this junior area will help Matthew Elliott keep Penrith at the top of the ladder.

Just my speculation.

I always thought that Mullholland had something to do with Panthers on the Prowl - I don't think he's been assistant since Simmons was coach.
