It,s all about moving the club out of the dark ages. Just look what happened to Cronulla R S L when it was renovated. They had to knock back membership applications. Now there is a benchmark.

Exactly. The new leagues club is going to be taking advantage of the views across Botany Bay isn't it? That alone should bring in the crowds.

White Rabbit is popping up in a lot of places now. Good beer! In fact most clubs & pubs at least have a James Squire or similar on tap. They are cottoning on that people like to drink beer with flavour these days, not just generic swill with a drop of hop oil if you're lucky, ie. most CUB beers.

Hey gents

Today was another meeting with the club, in which several things were discussed.
They are:
Return of a friend to all sharks

More member/ fan engagement at the games ( more to follow on this, start looking out for over the next several weeks leading up to round one) prior and after the game

The shark volunteer group will be out soon and club will be looking at fans participating. There will be a selection criteria for this. They will be looking at skill sets. More on this will be announced shortly.

NRL will be running an ad campaign and will require fans from all clubs. This will be happening during the day, it will be announced shortly. Shark representative will be Mick Ennis.

There will be a surprise prior to the start of Auckland 9s and it'll be a nice one for all

There will be a fan day in feb and in the coming few weeks. Stay tune to this.

I remember on one of my trips to the hallowed club. Whilst wife was busy paying for the privilege of pressing a little red squared button I ventured out to the northern side of the club. ( I think it was the designated smoking area) .... I couldn't believe that no one had every realised what an attraction that view could be and how under utilized it was.

Lets hope things will change.

Just a bit more on the Sharks Volunteer Group (SVG):

SVG is being created similar to wander crew, however it'll be all shark orientated.
The club will be asking for people to volunteer.
The club is looking for certain skill sets atm, however if you want to apply you will be require to submit an application and maybe some supporting documentation.
They are working on this and hope to have it finalise by end of next week.
The roles could range from ushers, crowd support to other areas

Shit
Didn't know dunph died.
Got on the piss with him a few times
He was great mates with one of my best mates dads.
He'd always outbid blokes for sharks jerseys and stuff at sports luncheons.
I ended up with a signed jersey he left behind at one.

Gave it back.
