The Forum seems to have some bugs in it at the moment. Mine is not working properly.

So turns out it was hardware acceleration in chrome's settings, my gaming PC handles it fine 'cause it dumps it off to the GPU and it's got plenty of headroom, keeping the ram usage minimal, my laptop doesn't. Turned it off, problem seems to be gone.

If not, I'll just download some more ram like Pou so kindly suggested
