Just watched it then on youtube................................"Starting over" is pretty average. "Light in a darkened world" is the only decent song I have heard off the new album, f$%k I am going to spew if this album bites.

Heard it again just now. I love it. The melody in the song is awesome.

Howard's voice is incredible imo - "Forgive me"...Love that part.

Maybe a tad softer than their other stuff but that chorus is awesome.

Plus I love the drumming, too.

Its different to their past stuff. i quite like it. a bit softer...im usually into the much more heavier metal but from time to time im not in the mood for that...so this does the job. IMO.

Wow, this definitely is something out of the blue for KsE. You can't say that they have rehashed the past. They have definitely mixed it up. I'll reserve judgement after a few spins.

love the first song on the album. Cranking it up loud, the layers of backing vocals gives me tingles up the spine. A lot better than "ADLD"

After listening to the album a few times, here's my verdict.

What they said about the screams and singing being bigger and better was right. The screams are on a level that is similar to the Alive or Just Breathing release. The singing is not just your token clean metalcore stuff, the singing actually takes up large portions of some songs (e.g. Take Me Away, Lost).

The music is very heavy and there was a riff in I Would Do Anything that to me harkened back to Alive or Just Breathing. Riffs that make you instantly mosh out.

Some of the lyrics are darker in theme and some songs are really damn heavy, to the point where I have skipped them and need to give them more listens to see if they can grow on me.

Overall, it is a pretty cool album which is a definite progression from previous albums. They can't be faulted for not going in a new direction.

Standout tracks are Starting Over, A Light in a Darkened World, Take Me Away and Lost.
