New NRL logo....

It should be pointed out that this is (presumably) not the new NRL logo. It is the new Telstra Premiership logo.

I've got no problem with this one because at least it is an evolved version of the NRL logo whereas the previous effort had much more in common with the Telstra logo.

Last version was clean and two colours, easy done. This new one just looks like a lazy composition of the old one and Telstra's logo.

And yes, the NRL logo in it's entirety still exists. This logo replaces the logo you see every week on the field.

Why it needed change I don't know... Telstra's colours are theoretically the same.

Any graphic designer that came up with that should kicked out of the union and taken round the back and shot.

I guess they needed to change the Telstra Premiership logo slightly because Telstra changed its logo so the downstroke of the T is filled in in blue, but to do something like this is ridiculous.

telstra would have had a lot of impact.

But you will never please some people. Its not like the game will change....

Don't mind it, don't really care, after a few rounds of seeing it everywhere nobody will notice. There's a problem with the placement of 'NRL' on the footy at the top, making the whole thing look top-heavy, and the 'Telstra' logo is too weak, but meh.

I quite like it actually. It's not a new NRL logo, it's a new Telstra Premiership logo. I, too, tend to think the placement of the 'NRL' text at the top could've been done better. I certainly wouldn't've had it going through the football. As a former graphic designer myself, that's the only real thing I can fault the logo on.
