This is pleasing... when you look at our juniors coming thru the big hole is big go forward props. The ones we have are more workers. Note Retention Committee - make sure the juniors we have can see their pathway and don't loose sight of our desire to keep them. Don't do what Manly did with these two big boppers.

These are l great signings for many reasons - one major one is that it spells the early release of Aaron Woods.. . apparently Hook spoke to their parents

There are two sides to Woods... Woods the player (who I used to call Little Steps - when he got to the defence) and Woods the influencer. Don't under estimate the influence Woods is having on OUR team. He played reggies last week - but was still at the ground in the tunnel talking with the boys and taking his young bloke out on the field amongst the players after first and reserves... those lil one percenters build successful footy clubs. All the players seemed to have a chat with young Mr Woods... I didn't rate him as a player - doesn't mean I don't rate him as a bloke.

Yes you are correct he has good qualities as a person, also his experience as a top forward would be invaluable to our young guns. Unfortunately he is occupying a spot in our roster and chewing the salary cap, he can perform all of what we just talked about as a helper around the club. His performances on field have not been good as witnessed in ressies on sunday, for that team to get embarrassed the way they did especially in defence was not good. Yes he is a good bloke but his playing days in the NRL are over.

Latest NRL 360 tonight (Wednesday 15th episode 9), Spud Carroll was talking Viliami Fifita, (one of Manlys young big boppers) up including the comment "He was a stand out and I think he's gone to the Dragons". Mentioned one training session sparring with body punches, Fifita claimed "Spud, let me hit you today". Carroll replied with "mate, do your best" and rattled him with one on the chin. Sounds like Spud who rarely took a backward step was impressed! Here's hoping.

After reading the attachment supplied by Dfl , it would appear that the Telegraph may have jumped the gun on this rumour , as they are both still under contract to Manly and as such the club will need to grant both an early release to join the Dragons.

Do hope that will be the case as they will look far better wearing the Big Red V than that ‘ orrible burgundy coloured jersey .

Both have big wraps. I have said consistently that we won't be competitive ve until we get 2 go forward props. This could be the beginning of a very good engine room in a couple of seasons but Manly have been blindsided here so not a lay down misere
