The Shihad Wiki page has the release date of 26 April. The JB Hi Fi website is listing it, and you can pre-order it from there (for on line purchases)...

Here is the album cover:

I remember when they changed their name to Pacifier, they were joking about calling themselves 'Taliband'

It will be released in Kiwiland on 21 April, but looks like it won't be released here until 16 May.

The new website has 6 songs on a media player, including a song that will not be released, Violence and Bloodshed - it sounds good!

Surely it'll be released as a B-Side?

Their B-Sides are so f*cking underrated!

Perhaps it'll be released as a B-side. I have a few Shihad singles, and they are indeed under rated a lot of them. CD worthy.

It's been released in NZ - I'll await the Australian release.

But if you have i-Tunes and go to the shop, and switch it to the NZ shop, you can get the 30 second previews for each song on the album. Not sure if you can purchase it though.

I previewed the title track - a bit electronic! Sounded rockier live, but is still a great song from what I heard. :)

I stand corrected - it's track 13 on the album.

Received the two disc version in the mail today....the album itself is, IMO, the bands best lyrically. Musically, it has some bloody good songs and a good balance. Needs a few more listens I think. I haven't got to the bonus disc as yet.

Got it in a work(i work in a cd shop) today and i had a sneaky listen.

Not a huge fan of the band in general, like Baz said, i think it's one of those albums i'll need to hear it a few times before it grows on me.

Bought it today - I've only heard the first 5 songs in the car on the way home. I like what I hear so far, bu like what others have said previously, I need to play it in full a few times first - it'll probably be a "grower".

Got my 2 disc signed copy in the mail yesterday, haven't really listened to it yet.

But no Silence And Bloodshed!?

Sourced it off the track listing on the NZ I-Tunes shop - the Kiwis obviously have a different version to us!

It's definitely nowhere to be seen on the Australian version, even on the bonus disk.

Just to back me up... a screen shot of the Kiwi version...

Apparently it's the first of three bonus tracks on top of the 12 on the Australian version - Violence and Bloodshed, Easy Life Romance and No Religion. However, there's no sign of the Kiwi's getting the 2nd bonus CD as there are no listings.

Actually, speaking of which, I thought it was exclusive to JB Online only, but I actually picked one up in store today - happy days!

I really like the album...it's more mature, which is to be expected, and more mellow which some might not like. My only real complaint is that the polished production really takes away some of the essential "Shihadness" of it all....tracks like One Will Hear the Other, Beautiful Machine, Bible and the Gun, and Count it Up that are really rocky and loud live sound a bit too mellow. But other than that I think it's a really good album and as I said, probably their best lyrically. My personal favourites are Beautiful Machine, Waiting Round for God, Bible and the Gun, and Rule the World...
