Is pearce better than chad

Yes.

Chad makes a lot of mistakes - dropped ball, errors in judgement in attack...

Although I've always despised Pearce (for being a rooster), he does have the ability to set up tries and has a good running game. He's a real good NRL half - but not a real good NSW half!

I would prefer Pearce & Maloney to Chad & Moylan!

No one talking about Keary ? Especially after Cronk publicly declared his man love for Pearce ?

I just saw this piece on MSN. I am neither for or against, just opening it up for discussion

The budget is tight at Bondi after the Roosters snatched Cooper Cronk on a multi-million dollar deal, and while they've signed one of the game's elite halves, it could come at the expense of Luke Keary.

That's the belief of lead rugby league journalist Brent Read who revealed negotiations about a contract extension for Keary have stalled as the Tricolours have failed to meet his pay demands.

“The interesting thing about Keary is they’re (the Roosters) in talks with him about a contract extension and from what I can understand the offer hasn’t been that good,” Read told Fox Sports' NRL 360.

“It’s nowhere near what Luke Keary would expect so maybe, if they can’t reach an agreement with Luke Keary on an extension, maybe it’s Keary who goes and Mitchell Pearce plays five-eighth.”

Since the Cronk speculation hit the headlines, Mitchell Pearce's future has been the focal point, with reports suggesting the pursuit for a new playmaker has made him uncomfortable and unhappy with the club.

He is spoilt for choice after attracting interest from Manly, Cronulla and Newcastle, but he is still in conversation with Roosters coach Trent Robinson about his role in the side next year after his mentor declared he was still part of the club's plans next year.

That role in the team could be at five-eighth if Keary chooses to test his options, with the Roosters battling to fork out the cash with an already high-earning, stacked line-up.

Cronk's deal, according to Fox Sports, is worth $1 million a season, the same value of James Tedesco who will be arriving at the club as their second marquee signing next season.

Keary is reportedly one of the Roosters' higher earners with a $600,000 a year deal, under Mitchell Pearce, Boyd Cordner and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.

It is believed the club will axe Jayden Nikorima to free up $350,000 to accomodate Cronk, but it doesn't leave them with too much cash to spare on Keary.

The mole said were chasing Pearce hard I’d rather keep Maloney and get Pearce imagine the combination
Had a feeling we’d be after him.
I do like the Chad but the Jimmy-Pearce combo was proven.
Might end up with the same scenario as the Roosters now have.
Tough call.
