All he needs to do is provide a ball playing option either side of the ruck. Our success was built around the fullback creating the extra man.

Well he does do that.

It's the rest of his FB game that is highly annoying. Nothing more frustrating than a FB that doesn't compete for the high ball or run it back with any sort of aggression.

It will be a Shame, I always saw him becoming an outstanding No.6 and dominating QLD for years to come. He certainly won't do that from FB.

Thats Barba. Barely ran the ball back unless it was a broken line. High balls probably better than Moylan but that can be coached.

The big difference is Pace, Moylan has none, which gets him caught out regularly. That's the biggest difference I've noticed since Edwards has come into our team, besides being a much better FB, he has pace to burn, which helps him get the balls Moylan didn't use to be able too.

Anyways, really doesn't matter, if you don't sign a half, you may not have a choice.

I'm not a fan of Hook either, but Garth Brennan and Ivan Cleary know what they are on about.

He simply doesn't have the skills / pyshical attributes required to be a stand out at No.1.

The stats in that Fox sports article could have come straight from here. They do appear to eb quite different from the NRL web site stats, however.
Goes to show though, there are some pretty good footy minds on here. And some pretty poor ones.
Most of us picked up before a ball was kicked this year, that for the team to succeed, Holmes had to be better than Barba.
Moylan is a much better chance of being that. If you get a chance find the replay of that game the Pennies came back from about 30 points down. Warriors I think. Moylan single handedly.
Im getting excited about next year now.

But the fact remains... Moylan is a way better 6... Moving him to 1 will cost him a rep Jersey and probably upset his sensitive nature.

Im f**king happy we arent heading unto next year with Jim maloney. Love the guy's 2016 but that guy from last year cost us.
Hes lucky he had a halfback whos yet to grow the balls to own his team but cleary will be fuming next year at constantly losing field position through bad tackles and stupid penalties.

Halfbacks cannot get a side home playing off the backfoot all game and thats where maloneys game has gone. Putting his side under pressure.
His head is somewhere else...money and media and if he dont get it out of his arse there will be more blowups out west.

I get a feeling he wont be rapt about heading so far from sydney and might start the year with the head still planted.

Just been watching a few games from last year on Fox, Maloney defended very well in those games, fug divino what happened to him this year but as we know it went downhill considerably. I haven't seen Moylan defend like Jimmy can, yet.
