Milford would be half the player if he wasn't pulled out of the fire by the Broncos and put in a championship side. Tedesco plays for a hopeless side that offers him f**k all support, can't keep up with him and goes to him for everything. Imagine how good he'd be if he played for the Cowboys or Broncos. Or even the Bulldogs?
All that aside, Milford has a case for being the best in the world right now ... but when you can think of only one player as evidence to the contrary of my point and you respond with dismissive laughter. Well that just makes you an arrogant f**kwit and you deserve to be called out for it.
Its very hard to split players once you get to a certain level. That said he plays in the easiest position in the spine. Id look to a halfback or hooker before id worry about fullback if i was drafting an nrl side.,look at the cowboys and the broncos., (even if they both have good fullbacks)
He is like josh hodgson imo. In the top 10-15 players in the nrl but not really established yet. Guys like Thurston have won premiership, state of origin games and really eatablished as the best.,tedesco has scored a few tries this year
Billy Slater was considered the best player in the world for years and is a fullback. Many of the best players of all time are fullbacks. How exactly is fullback the easiest position in the spine? Fullbacks run further in a game than any position so they have to be the fittest, they play on every side of the field, they ballplay and ball run, they have to kick return, defuse kicks, one on one tackle and organise the defensive line. In most sides the non dominant half does way less than the fullback and many sides play two dummy halves too. The elite fullbacks are more important to their sides than any other position. You can get away with not having one and still have a great side, but when you get one, the qualities they exhibit make them superior to any other footballers. You can get away with not having an amazing halfback and still have a great side too (see Shane Perry). There are examples of amazing sides with plodders in every position.
To reduce everything about Tedesco down to "has scored a few tries this year" is ridiculous.
Tedesco has been the Tigers best player since mid 2014. He was the best fullback in the game last year but RTS was playing alongside a successful team and Tedesco was playing alongside a spoon contender so he got all the accolades.
