Nah there has been a few of us talking him up a bit.

That game he played last year when Hoffman was 5/8 and Sezer played both sides of the ruck was one of the best individual halves performances ive seen. Maybe against Parra late in the season?

Panther players do not get picked for NSW. I'd suggest Mansour is the best winger available, but everyone wants to pick proven failures or players out of position (or both) like Hopoate, Ferguson, Roberts and Dugan. And they wonder why we lose year in and year out.

Peter Wallace would be very useful as well, having been there before, but his chances are precisely nil.

Who from penrith has been knocking the door down over the last couple of year?

Lewis and Jennings were automatic selections for years from penrith.

Mansour has been talked about but has been injured at origin time on a couple of occasions. He is good for meters but can have terrible hands. Moylan would have been a good chance last year if he didn't get injured too.

You are right here mostly. They picked a useless McManus over an in form Mansour for the dead rubber two years ago when Morris was out. No one else really has been pushing for it.

Interesting to see if Merrin plays this year. I wouldn't have had him in my NSW side last year despite playing for the club I support. Was happy for him, but not happy he was selected.

The trouble with Bryce's offloads is that he sometimes loses the ball due to a "loose carry". And yes, he can be caught out in defence. He isn't ready to play for NSW. Next year, I'd suggest.

He played well in the centres last year and he was moved to fullback because the other option had two shockers.

There is probably an argument that there are better centres available, but he is a very good centre.

He was considered to be such a form centre for the Dragons he was moved to fullback. Yet you reckon he should be in the centres for NSW? Sorry, but to me that is :crazy:

He was moved to fullback because Mann was dropped. Not because Dugan was "dire" at centre.

Big Lozza was interviewed by the Grill Team this morning. Sounds like there will only be minor changes to the NSW team. I would guess 2-3 changes from last year (and one would be forced-replacement for Brett Morris!).

I heard the interview. NSW never learn. J Reynolds and Hodkinson have zero creativity. Widdop and Benji would be more potent than those 2 in the club scene.

Gibson took a punt on alot of NSW players in 1989 and NSW then had a boom period from
1990-1994 with that nucleus only losing in 1991.

Played 4 games where he hasn't been terrible and he's team has won 2 games = origin selection

I'm all for Farah not being picked, the guys been average for 2 years, sadly we have no one better then him.

Then again if Daniel Mortimer was penriths hooker you'd probably be suggesting he get picked. It's remarkable penrith aren't undefeated the way you talk then up.

He isn't the form hooker he isn't close to Hodgson's form. He is playing better then he is getting credit for here and could do the job from what I have seen. There is a genuine chance he will keep Segeyaro's starting spot when he comes back.

As for NSW Hookers there is only Farah and Ennis in front of him so stranger things have happened.

Seriously I think wait a year, needs to improve his defence before he plays origin plus he is still working out his attacking skills a bit. Picking him would be a risk, that being said we probably need to take a risk to beat qld.
