Delayed coverage of games and the abysmal coverage of the second Friday game just shows that 9 is detrimental to the coverage of the game. Fox needs exclusive coverage of the whole code like they have with AFL and Rugby.

Ch9 will never agree to that.

Simulcasting with Fox Sports was the reason why they opted out of bidding during the last AFL tv rights negotiations

Perhaps it's time Channel 9 loses coverage of the NRL. I hate ads during play and thus love my Super Saturday and Monday night games, plus the Fox Sunday game.

Delaying the games on a public holiday is inexcusable. f**k you channel 9.

What's even more stupid is having the 30-min pre-game show when it is a delayed broadcast. I don't understand what the purpose of this is.

Also, I 100% agree with this:

Would it be easier to just move the news (in qld ) to 5??? It's not national news anyways, it's brisbane news, and rest of qld has local news... Why delay a game just cos NSW has 6 o'clock news??!!!

Tldr- move one show which a small locality gets, instead of pissing off/screwing over a whole state...

Why does the broadcast have to be delayed into QLD just so Nine News can be shown at 6pm in Sydney? Why can't QLD just broadcast the game live and simply have their news bulletin after the game at 5pm? What's so hard about that?
