New Wilfred

I'm a massive Wilfred (the original series) fan and saw my first episode of the new americanised series. So bad and such an embarrasment on the original series.

Anyone else see it?

They've had Wilfred change the way he speaks, now speaking in a higher pitch and 'less aussie' for the series. Doesn't use the same language either.

Elijah Wood is very annoying too.

i have to check it out as a massive fan of the original 2 seasons... but it won't surprise me if/when the americans completely miss the point and comedy of it all. a bit too subtle and clever for their ilk.

Wilfred looking out car window at child in adjacent car: "what's that merkin lookin' at? what's 'is story?" lol. f**king classic.

also had to love it when he upstaged his season 1 "PUNTA PONTINNNGGGGG" by giving a footy the ol' "Joey Johnssssssss". haha.

Haha, and the "Tugga Doug Douglas".

Yeah they've taken the aussie humour away which made the show.

There are still a few funny moments though but nothing like hysterics I was in for original ep's.
