New York/New Jersey to get Super Bowl XLVIII

NFL owners have voted to play the 48th Super Bowl in the new $1.6 billion Meadowlands Stadium that this season will become home to the New York teams Jets and Giants.

Interestingly they have selected a cold weather city that doesn't have a domed stadium. They better hope the weather will be good.

The North Texas Super Bowl committee who put together the plan that ended up with Cowboys Stadium getting this seasons Super Bowl are now putting together a plan to bring the game back to Cowboys Stadium in 2016, which will be Super Bowl L.

Playing in a dome or on the West Coast is hardly a "football" decision.

I for one would love to see a game played in Feb on the East Coast, will give a big advantage to any East coast teams.
