New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Which once again illustrates you don't care one single iota about Rugby League in NZ.

All you care about is your imaginary code war. You would quite happily kill of the game in the regions in the idiotic belief that it will "deal massive damage to NZ Rugby".

You're truly a pathetic individual.
Can you stop with this argument already? NZRL have had 100+ years to get it right and it's still a shit show. The NRL coming in is a good thing and has actually resulted in more Kiwi kids in NRL pathways, more professional players (and world class ones) for your national team and more money in the game than ever before. Going back to the 'glory days' of your local comp isn't going to help RL grow in NZ in 2023 any more than us putting the Broncos, Dolphins and Titans aside and reviving the BRL.

Yes, sure the NRL is taking a top down approach (hopefully with the Kiwis, Tonga and Samoa too when the CBA is sorted and the international calendar can get done) but considering that the game clearly has a decent following, it is not a bad strategy to boost the game at all levels.

That's not really what he thinks anyway, it's just a cover to attack the NRL. He's a Union f**kwitt that’s shiting himself as Super Rugby implodes and NRL takes over NZ .

here’s a former All black crappin himself at the thought of another nz nrl side

yeh he sounds worried lol maybe being a kiwi involved in pro sport he actually has a better idea than most Aussies on here?

“I seriously don’t think it will have any material effect, and I’m not sure the NRL really believes it can deal a crippling blow to New Zealand rugby, but rather it is just trying to improve the value of its own brand.

In that context, I would question whether a second New Zealand team would really stack up financially. It’s highly debatable whether another NRL franchise anywhere in New Zealand would actually lead to more people playing the sport

Domestic corporates are unlikely to provide much support and, equally, television rights don’t have a massive upside when the population is 4 million and the majority have access to rugby league anyway.”

yeh that was two years ago and there is still no sign of interest, from the nrl or from anyone in nz demanding a club. Really scared lol

i wish the nrl was lIke afl and had an aggressive expansion strategy and the resources to fully back new risky initiatives like nz2 that look like they will require a lot of extra support. Sadly we don’t have the balls or the money and nz2 will remain a good idea that never happens.

PNG lol. there is a million to one chance that happens , and that one chance is totally reliant on the Australian govt funding it and making it no risk for nrl.

haha yeh take pss out of afl in China at the exact time we allegedly are taking over the usa and getting college am football players to convert. We look as dumb as they do.

I wouldn’t exactly compare a 3rd world market to that of a developed country and one that is about to overtake the economy of the U.S.
