Might work! We only need 40% of them though to fill HBF.45k fans, is perf planning on staging double headers every fortnight?
8 games at NSO 4 double headers at Optus lol

Abdo did on nrl360 earlier in the year, but regardless there isn't any bidders, unless chalmers is reaching around again, or the bears port countriesWeve had from the commission:
Abdo and Vlandys talk up PNG/Pasifika
Vlandys talk up Perth
Vlandys talk up Melbourne 2 (lol)
Jones talk up Ipswich
no ones talked up NZ2 from the commission. Its clearly not on their radar, may change with Warriors success this year but still no signs they are interested in adding a second club. I am surprised but maybe it is due to no possible bidders banging on the door. Even Chalmers seems to have disappeared with no word for last 2 years.
Fair enough, must have missed itAbdo did on nrl360 earlier in the year, but regardless there isn't any bidders, unless chalmers is reaching around again, or the bears port countries
Split the fanbase ?It hasn't happened, nor is there an actual bid stemming from NZ in any location, so no! its the the fkn same thing, its actually nothing, just an idea to split the fanbase... same could be said of Penrith having another team in its council, or a Melbourne 2.0, with RU being a non existencewith the rebels, and having 5 million in population (just like NZ has)
ten years ago? we broke the nid stadium record twice. And sold out the test match. I wouldnt expect you to know that.
If vlandys says tomorrow given how strong the game is in nz now and the next team in is nz there would be no shortage of biddersAbdo did on nrl360 earlier in the year, but regardless there isn't any bidders, unless chalmers is reaching around again, or the bears port countries
what were previous crowds like at Hamilton and Wellington for NRL games?Maybe if the crowds had been good they would have
couple of those nrl games got shocking turnouts
haha two stadium records, and a sell out test match. Yeh they are dumb. We got 11k for pre season trial featuring the cowboys back then. What could have been in 2013 if the new commission got its sht together sooner. On the same weekend back then lolHBF Park Crowds (Perth Rectangular Stadium) | Austadiums

Four good crowds in almost 15 years
yeh I can see why the arlc was falling over themselves to give Perth an nrl team ten years ago
Just don’t mention any of the games that had bad crowds hey ?haha two stadium records, and a sell out test match. Yeh they are dumb. We got 11k for pre season trial featuring the cowboys back then. Wellington hasn’t been used for a whilewhat were previous crowds like at Hamilton and Wellington for NRL games?
Wellington had Warriors v Newcastle Round 1 this year. Crowd 16,676 (4th worst at that venue out of 12 games)Wellington hasn’t been used for a while
dogs used to take home games there and it was 15k
this year crowds are up everywhere in nz for nrl (not for super rugby they are poor)
wahs used to be 15k and they are 22k this year at mt smart
The argument would be is this year a one off due to the warriors being away from home due to covid or is it because rugby league is making huge inroads into super rugby
probably bit of both
Are you actually saying 16k is a bad crowd for two teams that aren’t from that city ?Wellington had Warriors v Newcastle Round 1 this year. Crowd 16,676 (4th worst at that venue out of 12 games)
Theres never been a shortage of fans in Auckland, warriors avg'd 26k nearly30 years ago! Having a decent club they could get behind has been the problem, they need some consistent success.Wellington hasn’t been used for a while

Not as good as 45k for 4 teams not from the cityAre you actually saying 16k is a bad crowd for two teams that aren’t from that city ?
you're definition of good crowds (by nrl standards) is interesting! Talk about cherry picking!HBF Park Crowds (Perth Rectangular Stadium) | Austadiums

Didn’t south’s get like 11k there and that’s why they stopped going there ?Not as good as 45k for 4 teams not from the city
*two really crap yearsyou're definition of good crowds (by nrl standards) is interesting! Talk about cherry picking!
NRL games
2012 15.6k avg
2013 20.2k avg
2014 16.1k avg
2015 20.7k avg
2016 12.1k avg
2017 8.8k avg
2018 19.4k avg
2023 24.5k avg
Other
Origin 60k x2
Test match 20.5k
Nines 24.8k
RLWC pool games 14.5k
So basically one crap year out of 8 and solid crowds for other rugby league events. Not bad for a non RL city Id say!
Lowest Souths crowd was 2017 when they got 11.4k in torrential rain. 2018 38k turned up to watch them.Didn’t south’s get like 11k there and that’s why they stopped going there ?
*two really crap years
Yeh that’s for a whole seasonwarriors avg 11.7k the year we got 12.1k lol
